Nerve in Hand Damaged?

So when I do overhead presses, squats, or basically any lift that puts pressure on my palms/wrists, I get a numb feeling followed by some shooting pain. This only happens in my right hand. A buddy of mine in med school diagnosed it as a pinched deep branch of my ulnar nerve. Any suggestions on making it better? Thanks.

I would go with wrist wraps, i use them for squats since they tend to kill my wrists.

Go talk to someone who actually finished medical school. I think they are called doctors. They tend to know how to fix problems like this. Sorry for the sarcasm, but why are you asking people on the internet for advice on treating a serious medical problem?

For teh lulz?

It could also be a pinched nerve in your spine. A bulging disc could be compressing a nerve root, thus causing distorted communications to your brain. Again, have it checked out. Might need an EMG.

Pinched nerve at C6. This can cause weakness in the biceps and wrist extensors, and pain/numbness that runs down the arm to the thumb. On physical exam, the brachioradialis reflex (mid-forearm) may be diminished.

Pinched nerve at C7. This can cause pain/numbness that runs down the arm to the middle finger. On physical exam, the triceps reflex may be diminished.

Pinched nerve at C8. This can cause hand dysfunction (this nerve supplies innervation to the small muscles of the hand). Pain/numbness can run to the outside of the hand (little finger) and impair its reflex.

Ignore it. I had that for a little bit and ignored it and it went away.
