I really wish to see you walking around when yo have a built upper, and not lower body. Watch out, you’ll fall!!! mAUHH hahah. You’ll also look very funny.

Squats do help cycling! I have done them and feel stronger when cycling, I love it, and so should you.

The cycling team workouts in the offseason consists of squats, front squats, power cleans.

2 of 3 only for legs.

They never train their upper body at all.

Don’t be a pu&&y!

Thanks for all of the replies. Here i am spinning, racquetball, and mountain biking feeling that my legs were pretty strong. Well… I hit the gym on saturday for just leg training. I cant put up the weight i though i would be able to do and I can barely walk today i am so sore. I am definitely going to incorporate more leg training in my program. My legs are pretty cut from all of my activities, just not as strong as i thought they were.

So not much credibility. Yeah, squatting may help climbers marginally - but do you honestly think they are worth implementing in ones training over hill repeats and a big gear (what T-Nationers refer to as HIIT)? Obviously not, ever.

I know dozens of elite level cyclists, hell there are three national champs in my household. One of them is a current US nat’l champion. I know it may seem amazing to a triathlete, but not a single one of these guys touches a weight year round.

Why are you on this site?[/quote]

I lift heavy shit?

I occasionally break the status quo here because I have a broad spectrum of informational sources besides T-Nation, and I sometimes respond to posts using what I know to be unbiased and informative data, experiential first- or second-hand knowledge, conjecture, et cetera. I am sorry if that upsets you… or whatever.

Oops, wrong person, I meant Revving High, I was under the assumption that he only did biking and not lifting haha. I totally misread this thread, my bad.
