Need Workout Routine

You shot your own argument down. Your link says most people don’t eat enough fiber lol

Haha, you’re saying HIGH

So you guys were cats before but not now?

High is relative. Most people don’t eat enough fiber or protein.

You have me there…

On that link it says 50g of fiber a day is too much but average person eats only 15g. So if they double their fiber intake they are in ideal suggested range.

Sigh I’m busy atm. High protein high fiber diets can be bad for you. Do what you want with your body. I don’t know how much you consume, but I really have to go. I’m busy but hate leaving threads. Everyone is different anyways and their bodies tolerate things differently. Bbl

High is relative and I don’t consume excess or dangerous amounts of either.

Read up on protein

I eat plenty of protein but to say a diet high in protein and fiber neglects other important nutrional players. My actual diet follows holistics since I can’t take nsaids, allergy, cold, stomach etc meds due to heart.

There are good food choices and “not as good” ones, but “high” protein/fiber diets (relative to average folks) are typically very good for active people.

A few thoughts to add;

-NO studies linking high protein intake to kidney issues. (If you HAVE issues the doctors will lower your intake so your already damaged kidneys won’t have to strain)

-obese people (sedentary) Typically have poor insulin sensitivity, BUT “eating carbs” (fruits!! Oats, vegetable…) didn’t make them fat. Usually eating crap (cake, muffins, fast food) in abundance over years make them fat. People like to classify anything that contains carbs as solely carbs, but there’s a much larger picture at work here (@BrickHead care to chime in?)

Don’t think of it as “schooling”, think of it as clarifying

Better connotation, true…but I trust you’re judgement over mine respectfully since his goals are closer to yours and you’ve been in the lifting community far more than me :hugs:

Like what?

Foods like salmon, almonds have other nutrients as well as protein. Foods like carrots, pumpkin and strawberries have important nutrients but the body only needs small amounts of vitamins and minerals. Protein, fiber and fats and is the body needs most of.

Processed carbs v natural carbs. I agree with you - cakes, pies, bread, sauces, jams etc made the obesity problem.

I still focus on lower carb fruit/veges though but with people doing extreme amounts of exercise I can see why they choose the higher carb ones.

And yet countless competitors as well as consistent trainers who are quite aware of different macros and how “this whole nutrition thing works” eat plenty of “junk” and walk onstage diced (natty competitors)… hell, even Yates admitted to factoring Ice cream and chocolate bars into his Olympia prep plans…

I’m not gonna argue like others seem to enjoy doing with you, but in my most humble opinion, you seem to be missing a lot of key points despite your attempts at being well read on certain matters of diet and exercise.

I was talking about average people not people who do extreme amounts of exercise like “Yates”.

And people who lay bricks etc can eat plenty of junk food and not be fat cause they burn twice the calories as people doing different work.

"you seem to be missing a lot of key points "
List the points and I will respond to them point by point.

Works for them too… besides, the amount of exercise (volume) Yates performed was pretty minimal when you look at it.
