Dude 8 lbs in a month is a joke if you just need to make weight. Go over to EliteFTS and search through Matt K and Justin Harris’ posts about cutting weight for powerlifting. The key is to put all the weight back on and more. Get to it.
Yeah bro, Green Veggies will really help you out. I dropped like 4 lbs in 3 days to make weight for a strongman contest. For my protein shakes, instead of 2 scoops of metabolice drive, I would have 1, but then add a handful of BCAAs. Most ‘meals’ involved a small piece of chicken, turkey, or beef, lotsa greens (whole cucumbers or raw brocolli), and fish oil capsules.
I wouldnt’ recommend this for a month long diet though, but figrued I’d chime in.
lol, if your weigh-in is a couple days before the actual contest and you dont drop all 8 lbs, take the wrestler route and dont drink, while spitting in a cup to lose water weight. However, if the weigh-in is the day of the contest, this won’t work, you dont want to be dehydrated for a lifting competition.
In other news: your diet is a tragedy on wheels. Better start including more meat and veggies and less diary. you are ingesting dick all protein. Extra fiber in the form of 10 servings of green veggies a day will be all you need over the course of a month.
I can add vegies with breakfast. I have such shitty endurance now hat I can’t run for nearly as long as I used too. Plus, where I live the sidewalks are all iced, and I don’t want to crack my head open :(. I’m pretty much stuck within the confines of my 1-1.5 hour workout, with a partner.

Does power lifting require same-day weigh-ins? If not why not just cut the weight? Like go work out in a sauna, take a giant dump, etc. Or is cutting weight not a part of PL culture? Sorry I’m not too familiar with the sport.
