I miss not knowing there were different kinds of powerlifting. There was just powerlifting, wherein people liked to lift weights.
/end 2 cents
For the record any fed that won’t allow knee sleeves is retarded. They are a godsend if you’ve had any kind of serious trauma to your knees.
Other than that there are any number of federations whether backyard or relatively big time that will pretty much conform to whatever you like to wear when you lift weights. Trying to assign definitions to raw or geared is pretty much useless at this point, trying to assign an objective view of “geared” or “raw” is impossible with how many variations of every piece of equipment exist and how many federations allow one piece or another for whatever damn reason they please.

Again. Fuck yeah Knee Sleeves.
No way bro. Powerlifting is about who can lift the least amount of weight, while weighing the least, with the least amount of equipment. Thats why in my new Pants Off Powerlifting federation, anyone over 135lbs will be considered fat.

Well that will be awesome for me because I won’t even need to train.
I can handle being called fat.
Every day’s a workout when your carrying a 20# python around in your jeans.
I’m way ahead of you on this and I’m thinking if I can get my patented ‘hip swirl’ technique down I can easily add another 30-40#'s to my squat and pull just by virtue of the momentum.
@ jmurp there is no way you’ve ever competed if you don’t know what a singlet is. Those have been required in every sanctioned meet since before I was born.

I don’t know. I think if you are just coming back and see a singlet with a gear vendor logo on it, it’s an easy assumption to make.
Used to be you either wore an Inzer singlet (and it was pretty obvious) or you wore a Matman or something like that. I still wear Matmans and ink out the logo.

How about at least bodybuilding style posing trunks for the deadlift. Shin scraping is one thing but I don’t want any scraping at lockout if naked.
How short are your arms that you’re worried about scraping there? Damn I thought my leverages sucked for the pull

I think I might be a contender!
I am twice the weight listed…could be a problem.
Sounds like there will be two weight classes. <135 and FAT.
So, you will just have to compete in the FAT weightclass.
