Ok i will and no this is not a joke sorry for being dumb ive been looking for a while i was just hoping some one could get me started on the right track.
Hi, Anthony! Welcome to T-Nation. No, it wasn’t a dumb question. It’s just one that gets asked a lot because people find the forums before they find all the articles that would answer their question.
The basics are:
- Cut out the garbage; the chips, Cokes, candy bars and fried food.
- Eat protein every meal. You need protein to build and repair muscle.
- Eat a variety of green veggies, fruit and beans.
- Eat every 3 or 4 hours. Pack your food and take it with you if you have to.
- Optimize post-workout nutrition. In other words, eat starchy carbs (sweet potatoes, rice, oatmeal) along with protein (every meal, right?) as soon after your workout as possible.
- Don't spend money on supps. Spend your time here instead and learn how to manipulate your body composition and build muscle.
- Jump in and start reading everything by John Berardi and Lonnie Lowery. For workouts, focus on the compound multi-joint exercises; squats, deadlifts, rowing exercises, pressing exercises, pull-ups. Those tpes of exercises will harden you up and put on muscle. Whatever you do, fight the trend to do just abs and biceps.

Do what Mr. Moose said and read, read, and read some more. Everything you need is here.
Good Luck
I will simply say hello and welcome.
Glad to have you.
I will just say TT’s got you pretty much covered, do some reading on all the above subject. Make a constant slow change and come back with any more direct question you have and we will help you help yourself.
Welcome again,
Phill
x2 for Terry, but I’d still recommend supplementing with an inexpensive protein powder. Low-Carb Grow! is ideal, and I think results-for-the-dollar will speak well for themselves. Some people don’t consider macronutrient concentrates as supplements, so I just wanted to throw in a couple of cents on that issue.
Read, analyze, and put into practice. Lather, rinse, repeat.

ok i will read everything i can find on this website thanks guys. IF i have more questions can i just post back here ?
One thing i think people didnt mention.
at the begining, resist the temptation to train too much. initially, there could be a danger of this, along side injury.
Eating well, not boozing and sleeping well will aid in prevention.
As you become more experienced, this will be less of an issue as you will “know” your body.
Good Luck, train consistently and take small breaks.

First see if you can find the answer by doing some research on this site.
If you can’t find the answer, start a new thread on your topic.
