Quit being so lazy.
Quaker makes old fashioned oats that only take a couple minutes in the microwave. Add a cup of frozen blueberries and you’re golden.
Either that or drink the protein shake and deal with the shits
How about some quick cooking oatmeal with some blueberries and a little bit of honey thrown in?
My favourite breakfast during those cold winter mornings.
Microwaved oatmeal, milk, berries, hard boiled egg whites, cottage cheese
Blend in a liquidizer and chug down. It should taste suitably disgusting to wake you up. It’s what I do every morning.

I have been having some trouble with my breakfast meal, and I was wondering if you guys might be able to help me out. I know three things:
In the morning I wake up very early, and I am rushed and do not have time to cook.
I value my sleep, and I do not want to have to wake up any earlier than I do.
Same as everybody else. “I value my sleep” is one of the lamest excuses for not eating a healthy breakfast. Here are your options:
Go to bed earlier
Make your breakfeast the night before – yes getting big and strong requires effort and planning outside of the gym as well.

3. If I have a protein shake early on in the morning, it gives me gas. My stomach just doesn’t handle them in the morning.
You need to switch protein powder brands. Berardi even recommends cycling through different brands to prevent GI issues. You could also try adding yogurt to your shake or taking some digestive enzymes to aid with digestion

So… I need to find something that is quick, already made, and something I can just pop in the microwave to warm real fast. Any ideas?
You should buy Berardi’s Precision Nutrition. It is more than just nutritional guidelines, it is loaded with strategies to help you overcome these problems.
About once a week, I make a breakfast casserole of eggs, cottage cheese (and any other cheese you want), peppers, onions, etc. Then cut it up into servings. All I have to do is pop it and some oatmeal into the microwave in the morning.
Read Shugart’s blog article on cold oatmeal. If I had to write one of those articles “14 things that changed my life” the discovery of cold oatmeal would be up towards the top of my list.
-1 cup of dry oatmeal
-pour milk over it
-chop up a banana in it
-add a few scoops of yogurt
-let sit for 3 minutes
-eat
The whole process from the start of preparation to the last spoonful can take less than 7 minutes - I’ve timed it.

No excuses son.

Is that after a morning workout. I usually have a meal high in both protein and fat but not carbs for breakfast. I eat an omlette with beans and fruit, along with some nuts or something. Is this wrong to do?
