,see you in ‘shoulder impingement army’ soon or later ,good luck ![]()
K. While I enlist in the impingement force, you might want to learn the difference between biomechanics and Doug Brignole’s interpretation of them - if it WASN’T his opinion, he’d have just told you to read an anatomy and physiology textbook, and there’d be no reason for him to write a book on the subject.
Brignole has gotten more people hurt with his bullshit biomechanics than just about any other “trainer”(and i use that word as a stretch) . Do some due diligence on the shill.
Honestly, I didn’t have a clue who he was until he was mentioned several times by that guy, and I looked up some youtube videos on him - seems like he’s the Mark Rippetoe of bodybuilding. Says farmers carries are an inefficient exercise and can crush your vertebrae.
Breaking in an open door!
Several advanced coaches (incl Dr Darden) advocate feel as very important. Feel may be interpreted as control, mind-muscle collaboration or just knowing yourself and your response to movement and weight. I would say that feel is what prevents injury in “dangerous” excercises, which is why so many people manage to do them over the years. Another take on this is avoiding excercises that feels bad.
wow…that’s is very strong statement ! did you know somebody ? or just talk to talk ?
have nice lifting, bro… you are lost in space…this is not private messaging app…please,do not reply to me anymore… thank you
I think this is very important. An experienced lifter who has learned to be introspective gets that bio-feedback and adjusts accordingly. For me at this point in my ‘training career’ it’s instant. I also think it applies not only to safety, but progress as well. If I don’t get a good feel on the muscles, I know it won’t be a good workout for stimulation purposes.
