Need Advice

Hey,
I was on the Mag-10 diet with massive eating for two weeks. I gained 8 pounds from 150 to 158, and was pretty happy. Then I had to take a few days off, as we went camping and stuff, came back and started Tribex and M, and was on the recommended workout for one week, when I cam down four days ago with severe diarrhoea, and vomiting. Its been a week now, and Im still not up to working out. Besides, I cant even think of stepping on the scale, coz I fear Ive lost at least 8-10 pounds, from 158. My whole objective was weight gain, and now I think ive lost all the money I spent, as well as the effort. What do you guys suggest, do I start up again, or do you thing the effects of Mag-10 are still there, and I just need to continue the cutting phase?

Sorry to hear about your illness and such.

I would say before you go back on I would concentrate on getting well,and on a solid diet again. Get back in the gym for atleast a few weeks atleast before even considering the Mag 10 again.

Yes you most likely lost some LBM during your illness, but man sickness happens some times. Dont dwell on it. Just move on train hard and you will be back in no time.

What are you living in Africa? 150 pounds my two huskies weigh that much, forget the Mag-10 start eating some food, high calories, high carbs, moderate fat, moderate protein levels.

Here’s a diet i think you could follow

Muscle Gain Program

Upon Rising

  • 1 x tspn Creatine
  • 1 x tsp L-Glutamine
  • 1 scoop of Maltodextrin
  • Blend all in water

Meal 1

  • 2 x egg yolks and 6 x egg whites scrambled
  • 2 pieces wholemeal toast
  • Large bowl of rolled oats

Meal 2

  • 1 tspn of Creatine
  • Medium tin of tuna or chicken breast
  • 250g low fat cottage cheese
  • Baked potato or rice or pasta
  • Vegetables or salad

Meal 3

  • 1 tspn of Creatine
  • Chicken breast or lean beef
  • Baked potato or rice or pasta or wholemeal bread
  • Large salad or vegetables

Meal 4

  • 1 x 200g Danone flavoured yoghurt
  • or 2 x scoops Whey Protein

Meal 5

  • 2 scoops Whey Protein
  • 1 tspn of creatine
  • 1 tspn of L-Glutamine
  • 1 x Danone flavoured yoghurt
  • 1/2 later - TRAIN

After Training

  • 4 scoops of Maltodextrin
  • 3 scoops Whey Protein
  • 2 tspns Creatine
  • 2 tspns L-Glutamine
  • Blend all in water

Meal 5

  • Lean beef, chicken, or fish
  • Baked potato or rice or pasta
  • Vegetables or salad

Meal 6

  • 2 scoops Whey Protein
  • 1 tspn L-Glutamine
  • 1 Danone flavoured yoghurt
  • Blend in water

Note

  • After 7 days of loading, drop creatine from meals 2 & 3
  • Maintain Creatine dose of 3 tspns a day for 7 weeks, followed by 2 weeks off Creatine
  • Repeat cycle

On rest days

  • Drop supplements used immediately after training

Tip

  • Minimum 3 litres water per day

Yeah man, get well and then fuckin’ eat! I don’t know how old you are but my guess is a lot could be accomplished via diet before mag10 becomes necessary. Everyone gets sick. Over 20 years of eating and training, one week of setbacks ain’t gonna matter that much. Get well and then get back to training and eating.
