Need A Plan

So I’m 6’0" and 230 pounds. I have been going to the gym recently to get in the habit of the lifestyle again. I have been eating clean for about 2 months now and feel I have a good control over my eating habits. Haven’t touched a soda in two months.

Anyway, through all the massive eating threads and workout programs, I have one question rattling in my head. I just feel I need a solid plan now.

I do not have a clue as to what my body fat is. (It’s not good though) I do have some pictures I could post though if it would help get a better idea. Should I focus on getting as much muscle gains as possible right now, or should I try to cut a lot of fat off and then worry about getting bigger?

This is the most confusing thing to me as a newbie. Like I said, I have been in the gym and have been going through the motions getting back into the lifestyle. I feel I am ready to move it up a notch to set some goals.

HELP ME wise ones!
THANK YOU!
P.S. Let me know if you want to see me topless

No.

Anyway, If you have not trained before do a full body program 3-4 times a week or at the most a upper/lower split 2 x a week each.
Get someone to measure your weight and bodyfat and calculate your fat free mass. Use these as a base measurement to track your progress.

This will take more than a while.
Compound based exercises.
Lots of healthy food and supps.
Progress, week to week.
Be consistent.
This will take more than a while.

I used to lift with my dad and brother in highschool. I stopped around my sophomore and junior year and mainly did cardio stuff like basketball/running. I figured girls were more important than working out. Dang hindsight.

So, it’s been about 6 years since I have worked out as a lifestyle. I know it will take a while and lots of dedication, but I am already feeling WAY better and if I can be dedicated to double cheese burgers, beer and tv, then I can get dedicated to something that makes me feel like this.
