Neck and Shoulder Injury While Doing Shoulder Exercise

I’ve hurt my neck and shoulder while doing shoulder exercise.

Let me explain in detail how did it happen.

In January, I was doing lateral raises. I did first set and everything was fine. But during the second repetition, I got strain in my right shoulder and since then my shoulder is hurting.

I visited the Orthopedist doctor, and he told me to do workout other than shoulder and back with lighter weights. 3 months gone by but pain was still there. Then I visited the Doctor again, he advised me to do full body workout as it might help. I worked out as suggested but it didn’t help. In May I was doing dumbbell shoulder press. While lifting the weight for it I looked up and I got very bad strain in my right neck. I visited the doctor again, I had X-ray and MRI but nothing came out. And doctor told me to do the rest.

I haven’t been going to gym for more than a month. But my neck and shoulder are still very badly hurting.

I’ve tried pain killers, neck exercises and cold and hot therapies. But nothing seems to work.

Any recommendation from your sides? Thanks in advance.

I went for a massage and it helped.
