Nebraska's Strongest Man

It is hard to say, you would have to email Dione or Willie Wessels for exact info. I believe HW teens are 186 and above and LW teens are 185 and below. LW adults used to be 225 and below until a few years ago and it got switched to 231 and below. I don’t know if all those records are still kept up on or not.

Good luck to all you guys. Sounds like some good shit.

One thing to note on the LBS of tires the R in the size is VERY important to the weight. That means radial and they will weight more due to the steel belts etc…

That why the difference in the weight of the same size with R and no R.

Thanks bobby for posting that glad to hear your recoveing and getting on

Thanks everyone for the help, I got real happy yesterday when I thought I found a big tire, after taking it home and doing a search on google I found it only weighs about 300lbs. Oh well it will be good practice to get the movement down un tell I can find a nice 600-700lber

You got it, work on technique and cardio with it. There is nothing like doing tire flips for cardio.

For sure nail the technique and conditioning with it and then it will transfer to a BIG tire.

Crazy that this thread is here. I saw that competition and decided I wanted to sign up. I may not get a decent finish in any event, but should be fun. Just doing it for the experience.

That’s how it all starts LOL

I rarely make a good finish, but I get better each time I go out. Sign up for it and have a good time, you won’t be disappointed. DJ knows what makes for a great comp.

Yep. I’ll definately be there. Coming all the way from Louisiana!

Did you compete in the McPherson Master’s division this year?

Nope. This would be my first competition. Been reading up over on the dieselcrew site. Any other good resources? I have a lot to learn.

We would love to have you up to compete. I already have some entries coming in so this should be a real good contest.
You may check marundemuscle.com & kcstrongman.com for some other real good resources concerning strongman.

I guess I’ll see you in Iowa then, Phil. I’m all signed up already.

You will have a good time at the Iowa meet Phil, I am going to be judging there. Shawn will put on a great meet.
Don’t worry, there will be quite a few meets in KS and MO next year for you also. We will have you all over the place if you stick around us. Ha Ha

For Nebraska’s event, what do you think the numbers for the lifts will look like? As in, how does the typical guy normally do? Winner?

Just curious to see where I am at.

Phil -
I am doing Scott Tully’s Monster of the Mall Pro-Am March 3 so I told Shawn I would help him with his, otherwise I would be competing. It is a great line-up, and trust me, it will be very hard to sit and watch/judge and not compete, this will be the first time I have ever done that.

popasquat - what is your age and weight? then I can give you some ideas of where people will be in your age and weight class on the different events.
