Neat Weight Plate Concept

Bingo. Not many gyms I’ve been to have deadlifting jacks. But this idea works perfectly.

putting the plates on is part of the workout.

put them on 2 at a time if you need to be faster.

also, deadlift jack or 2.5lb plate rolled under

I think if there were an efficient way to make a better weight plate, somebody would have figured it out by now.

I think simplicity is bliss when it comes to gym equipment. And it just don’t get any simpler than a big hunk of iron with a hole in the middle.

centopani pulls the loaded bar off low-set hooks, steps back and does his reps…you are probably not centopani though.

X2 Deadlift Jack.

The fucking end of this thread.

What idiots. They don’t think about the strong beasts out there that rep with over 500lbs. Wut idiotas…

Now showing at a Planet Fitness near you.

Humans are getting so lazy that they are now trying to make our workout sessions easier.

Jesus.

Nature wants us to adapt or get out the way. Man does everything in his power to make us weak and defenseless, all in the name of making it EASIER.

REAL CONVERSATION:

(grown man)-HEY, I can bench 315.
ME- Cool let me know if you need a spot.
(grown man)-on the elevator “hey I’m as strong as that guy I can bench 315”
2weeks later:
(grown man)-Hey can you come watch me
Me-sure…ummm were are you benching?
(grown man)right there
Me- ON the Hammer Machine?? um Ok thats cool and all but thats more of a press not a bench. But still cool.
(Grown man kinda upset)So Whatcha saying?

Avoiding lifting weights to weight lift = ironic.

What about plates with a magnetic side with a small switch, you turn the switch on, stick it to the next plate, rinse, and repeat! Hole in the middle, everything else about normal plates, just don’t need the bar end to be longer than a couple inches to get the first one started…

Iron is ferromagnetic, but imagine the expense in implementing that idea for such a small gain.

I want a full Hydrolic suit like in Aliens. A bit smaller so they can issue them out with the towels at the gym. That way I can be a beast without hurting myself.

This is yet another reason the Eastern Europeans laugh at us.

If Mike Mentzer was around to get his hands on one of those, imagine the kind of forced reps and negatives he would have you doing.

thats such a fucking brilliant, simple, and awesome solution. I’m a huge idiot for not doing this. I can’t wait to deadlift! Thanks haha

^Ah shit… the answer to all my prayers.

I said to God: God, if only you could give me a way to get my plates off the bar after deadlifting I will go to church and be good.

Well, I dont know if I’ll follow through with church or being good but thanks for the answer PaddyM…er…I mean God.

I’m pretty pissed that I never thought of that myself.
