Natural Capabilities

Besides the personal reference, was the question not clear enough? Only thing I didn’t give was a certain weight, but thanks, I’ll keep that in mind…

Dude has the same hair as Ricky from Trailer Park Boys in some of his vids lol.

I don’t know how he doesn’t seriously injure his back on squats/deads based on how he literally has no arch in a several of the vids.
Which one? Deadlift videos?

I had a slight arch in mines, too. I’m form checking, since then. It’s harder, but I got 440x2 correct form. My only fear is, I hope I can still deadlift 460 with correct form. Also doing a lot of ab work, as it might have been the reason why my back would slightly curve, as my core wasn’t strong enough, and I was so used to curving, it became natural.
His deads weren’t beautiful, and his rack pulls were pretty laughable because he had about 2 inches of ROM and never really got a solid lockout. The back rounding really showed on a couple of the squat vids where he hit depth or went ATG though.

But really, I think it comes down to the fact that there are many better role models to pick from. There are plenty of dudes who are stronger AND who show much better form. Look around this site a bit more, there are guys like Marauder Meat who know their shit and post way better vids than that guy.
Wow, well thanks, man. I would have never known. His stuff looked right to me, or I assumed it did because I assumed he would know of all people. I guess I should’ve asked Bretzerr to verify. Although I never asked Orator, he just came out of the blue, striking down with the mighty thunder of Zeus himself. I’ll check out Marauder, thanks.
I’m not going to claim to be an expert on form. There are people who could analyze the guy’s flaws in form WAY better than I can. I just know that his vids were uncomfortable for me to watch as someone who has chronic low back issues lol.

You can also check out the exercise library under “VIDEO” in the upper right-hand corner for form checks- CT is pretty good at what he does and covers a lot of exercises in there.

OK, thanks a lot bro! I appreciate the help! I’ll have a good laugh on the way to the gym, tomorrow. Maybe Orator was mad because he’s out of shape? I don’t know, but he did tell me, anything more than 5 reps starts to feel like cardio, so he sticks to 3-5 LMAO

You addressed things that weren’t relevant to the question you were trying to ask. That kinda skewed the response to the OP for a lot of people. What was with the bold assault earlier lol?

To the OP who I guessed completely missed my post earlier, I am drug free (so far) and have deadlifted over 800 twice in competition.

Your boy is a tool. Sweeping broad generalization about strength from someone who is not very strong (600 at 175 is a pretty OK deadlift), don’t really carry a lot of weight.
Controversy wrote:
But can anyone tell me the maximum weight (Bench/Squat/Deadlift) that a human body can do? Does testosterone/age play a big part?
Start with these lifetime natural goals.

Squat & Deadlift = 3.5 - 4.0 x bodyweight
Bench = 2.5 - 3.0 x bodyweight

**everything makes a difference when we are talking about ‘breaking new ground’.

600 at 175 is pretty OK?

…fuck

The fact that your IQ believes that I’ve really just accused you of roiding, is hilarious in itself. Must be the 'roids toying with your common sense.

Que?

Sorry for getting you all cranky. I will be sure to handle you with little kid gloves from now on and treat your asinine and oft-repeated questions with the respect and dignity that you think they deserve.

Un-possible. You broke physics.

For you? I imagine your potential is much less than others, natural or not, by the simple fact that you concern yourself with such bullshit…not to mention you seem clueless where powerlifting is concerned…there are easily over 100 people that have pulled over 800 pounds…some of them even did it raw…hell a couple guys have pulled over 1,000…

Your question is also retarded because you don’t specify bodyweight…you do realize bodyweight plays a role in limit strength, right?
It was a question. When does a question determine how hard I lift in the gym? You don’t even know me. You’re an egotistical idiot, assuming ignorant things based off a statement – and a QUESTION. You could’ve saved yourself a paragraph and two sentences, and just called me “retarded”. That’s was the point of your post – right? Boy, I’m glad you don’t go to my gym. I’d hate to ask you questions if I was a beginner. Then again, I heard 'roids makes you have temper tantrums so, it all makes sense

I’m just gonna set this right up here for the lulz.

This is a bit more applicable:

Big Ben (who has a log here) is getting close at about 200 pounds BW.

Yea, I know, that was my mistake. You’re right. The bold was to make my replies “stand out”. It looks so bland regular.

Oh, I saw it! Just forgot to include it in my post. But thanks, now I know! I started to believe him, I was even telling my cousin who I train with about it. Thank God it isn’t true. I thought I’d eventually plateau and have to lift light weights for the rest of my life SMH

OK, thanks a lot! Right now my deadlift is 2x bodyweight and my bench is almost 2 so…Guess I have work to do!

Google is your friend.

OP: Also, stay away from any advice recieved from YouTube. Most of the people on there are retarded and weak. I am not the strongest by far, but I sense enough to know what is worth listening to and what isn’t. Just because someone says something that SOUNDS legit, doesn’t make it ture. You’re young and have a LOT to learn.

Pick up some books and read twice as much as you post online. Trust me, it will benefit you way more than anything you can get on YouTube (for the most part). Look up the methods of Louie Simmons (West Side/Conjugate), Jim Wendler (5/3/1), Chad Wesley Smith (Juggernaut), and any one else who is recommended to you by those guys or from some of the better lifters on this site. StormTheBeach knows his shit and I would listen to pretty much anything he has to say.

Learn to filter the shit from the gold and you’ll be on your way to being able to answer a ton of questions like this for yourself. To echo florelius, google everything first before posting it here. You will catch way less shit that way. The more defensive you get, the more the sharks start to circle. It’s like blood in the water. Just take the criticism in stride and pick out what you think can benefit you.

Kinda sounds like you all went a little hard on this guy, people have asked way more ridiculous questions than this. He was just a little misinformed and looking for confirmation. Just my .02, of course.

To Cons credit, he has weathered the criticisms, kept his composure and seems wiling to listen to sound advice.

So having said that I would suggest reading Storms WestSide thread Con and make sure you know the info. STB always is quick to respond to questions, as are others. You train like that and in short order you’ll be blowing away personal records.

A lot of the guys on here offer sound advice too. I’m sure any of them would be glad to share whats worked for them, myself included. Good luck and keep us posted.

The OP was edited. He stated based on what he was told, he had lost his desire to power lift (paraphrased). He implied he wanted to quit, at least that’s how I read it.

He’s gotten some good info since then. Everyone has a right to their opnion, OP included, and this IS the internet. Sarcasm and sideways comments should always be taken with a grain of salt. I think he’s getting that concept now.

Was not aware that it had been edited, sorry if I came off as rude or anything.

Your natural capabilities will be wherever your mind sets them.

I guess its all relative. I get to compete against Ian Bell in a couple days. He is a light 198 and will probably deadlift 800lbs… at 18 years old. That’s just fucking ridiculous.
