Nationalism - What Do You Think?

I didn’t say no crime, I said that it’s extremely low.

Dude, I lived in Dubrava and even trained there (guess exactly where). You seem like an angsty kid who hasn’t seen much of the world. I’ll take Dubrava over literally any suburb in Europe.

Welcome to the real world kid. Things are going to get much worse on a global level due to dwindling resources and automation.

No, you read it in the news now and then. That’s why you should be concerned when the media stop treating rapes as news.

Yes, we’re in 150th place out of 200. A crime infested hellhole.

The bad news is that there are much much worse places and that you’re living in a safe European backwater. For now.

Perhaps if you don’t accuse non-white males of tanking their country’s economy because they said something completely unrelated, you don’t like, more would hang around.

He does it all the time, I am used to it. Most people seem to ignore it, so that’s fine with me.
I give him credit, he tries really hard to ‘get’ me. I seldom read his rants anyway.

I don’t think anyone gets you. I think even fewer try.

What?

Because people like you just watch and say stuff like “still better here than in Africa…”

Media only mentions it when it happens in center of the city, like I mentioned… or when someone records video with their phone and sends into the news…

Yeah, you know statistics are always 100% true.

And because of thinking like that, it will happen. Everyone who stays in this country just repeats to themself “there are still worse places” while others go away to live in better places… so what will you tell me one day when there’ll no longer be worse places? Probably “We’re fucked”… or you maybe still might just say “At least we are alive”

Compare our economy to economy of other EU countries - and it’s mostly shit.
Standard of life - same… people are migrating out for a reason, and others like you are just being ignorant when facts are here.
And stuff never gets better if you just sit down, do nothing while thinking “Somewhere is worse…” - and it’s not just you, big part of our nation is like that, which is main reason why there’s no changes. Even our prime minister literally said “Still worse in Africa” as excuse for his incompetence!

I honestly think that nationalism is a good thing to have in moderation. You should be able to still point out flaws in the place you live because nothing is perfect.

I’m telling you that losing your time won’t work for you, take a breathe, enjoy your life and do not put yourself into a position of having yo defend yourself to people you don’t absolutely know.
I totally agree with your views, I give you 100% right, you’re of the most reasonable people in here, so stop counting opinions of others that it’s obvious they aren’t hear to listen the different story but to disagree… You have my best regards and congratulations on your ethics and standards, keep them up high :muscle: :muscle: :muscle: :muscle: :muscle: :muscle: :muscle: :muscle:

Believe it or not we do occasionally have good discussions here. But the trolls demand to be heard as well, as well as demand the last word.
You work around it for the good discussions.
For instance Loppar is a smart guy, but he looking at the forest while we’re looking at the trees. We’re not comparing crime rates of different nations. We’re talking about personal experiences in places, where especially as a visitor, you need to be careful. And if the locals say, ‘don’t do this, avoid this area, avoid a group of people that do not look like they belong’, you damn well better listen. That’s my experience.

All this racism, bigotry bullshit is what we call ‘Vitrue Signaling’. They are desperate to show how much better people they are than you are. It’s transparent and they have no experience if they believe the garbage they say.
Some people are dangerous, some groups are dangerous. That’s not hate, that’s just a fact of the world.
And you know as well as I do, you ignore it at your own well being.

Are you a Russian or something? It’s interesting how you just joined and start a thread about nationalism.

This is funny.

Now this is kinda “racist” thing to say LOL

Do you have a problem with Russians cause that’s racist

I agree with you, but there are certain points we need to underline too, such aS the Greekness of macedonia!
I also have had some quite intesting information here as everybody is willing to help, just started the topic to examinate the American way of thinking on this topic but again I say to you, do not waist your time, you’re spartert so no need for temper!

Where do you think it belongs on the list, given your personal experience?

@poisoneve, what’s the sentiment from the younger generation about the pension crisis? It seems like people your age would all be frustrated with your parents and grandparents.

We’re beginning to face that here in the US now, as our children inherit a public pension crisis that will bankrupt local and state governments, and a very broken social security system.

“As a proportion of GDP, no country in the EU spends as much as Greece’s 17.5% on pensions…”

This is a couple of years old, but “Greek unemployment stands at around 25 per cent and youth unemployment is at nearly 50 per cent. The huge increase in unemployment since the financial crisis has, in part, led to a crisis in the ratio between workers and pensioners. According to the Greek Statistical body ELSTAT, there are only 3.67m workers to 2.66m pensioners in Greece, leaving the country with a worker to pension ratio of just 1.38. For the purposes of comparison, the UK has a ratio of nearly double this at 2.75, with 31.3m workers and 11.4m pensioners.”

From some of the articles I’ve read, young adults in Italy, Spain, and Greece are living at home. The high taxes and poor employment numbers have your generation delaying marriage and starting their own lives, unemployed, and often living at home, and dependent on a parent or grandparent’s pension.

Why not just blame the socialists who overextended you, and who voted for posh pensions and early retirements?

^So much this.

Not only is Greece’s pension spending ratio completely unsustainable, but it should be seen as a cautionary tale against too much social spending. It’s not that hard to convince a population to ignore math and make decisions that will greatly impact their future generations.

I can answer this:
A. The gypsies, duh.
B. That’s racist.

You expect them to get that joke? They’ll probably just think you are posting a pic of a gypsy.
