Nate and Others: College Action, the Swamp and Spurrier

Hey! This was also a GREAT weekend of College Football! (Any “sports hangovers” out there, guys?)

Nate: I know it’s early, but what’s the gossip in “the Swamp” on Spurriers debut in the NFL (lookin’ good so far!) and what the Gators are going to do this year? (I think that they just ran into a powerful Miami team, and man-for-man, were just outmatched. But I ALSO think that you just have to give it time).

As ALL the commentors seem to be saying “Spurrier was always an “NFL” coach who happened to coach college football”. (Even Madden said it).

I’m not sure what that means, but what are you guys thoughts?

There hasn’t been too much gossip about the ole ball coach other than the fact that he’s still showing people that his coaching methods are effective in the NFL. It’s been fun to see him recruit many former Gators and almost put together the 1996 championship team. As for the Gators, don’t let the Miami defeat make you think any less of the Gators. They are still in it to win it. And besides, it’s okay to lose a game, if you lose early in the season. So as long as they get stronger with each game, expect them to finish in the top five at the end of the season. Miami is good, and they are proving why they are number 1.
