Your making great progress, but don’t bounce the bar for a number. You’re smarter than that. I bet you some German Volume Training would get your bench up.

I just had to get 300, I couldnt take it any longer…
Do you mean 10x10 for german volume training?
dude as a deadlift afficionado you should always pause at the bottom as its then a full lift plus your lower and mid back will thank you in the long run, plus your max will go up i promise

Yes, but because your more advanced you should consider ten sets of six. Still only 90 sec rest though and use a weight that only gets heavy on the last 4 sets.

It sounds like something that would work for me because I have been lifting pretty heavy latley so there would be a nice shock but Im going on a summer diet and Im reading every where that lifting real heavy helps you keep size and strength.
I was considering doing basic german volume training when summer ends and I start bulking. I would hate to waist such a good mass building program while Im cutting.
Any way I benched MCA was closed due to the date.
2 board presses paused

220 x 3
275 x 1

Good workout I think my bench is going up.
youll be benching 3 plates by the time summers out i still think youll gain strength while cutting if you focus on benching. also have you heard of Chad Waterbury’s total strength program? its a program based on the three power lifts. theres a bench specific one a dead lift specific one and a squat specific one. theres also variations that includ all 3. its suppose to be his best program ever for strength gains especially on the power lifts. its included in his book muscle revolution. you could look into that it might do you wonders.

Sounds like a good program and its the exact same length as my summer its 12 weeks instead of 10 this year so I will be able to get a little more done.
Have you seen any fairly detailed reviews on it from people who have used it?

i own the book and Chad’s first 7 pages is basically lou schuler saying how amazed he was at the strength and mass gains. btw he started with a flat bench of less then 225. and ended with a bench of 245. in 12 weeks. and started with not being able to lift a 100 lb dumbell to pressing them for 2 reps. all this in twelve weeks and this guy was 48 years old at 185 lbs. so imagine what someone your age with no injuries could acomplish.

Im not 48 so I dont have a clue how hard it would be to put 25lbs on my bench, but 25lbs in 12 weeks isnt the kind of thing I would want to build up as “amazeing” in a book I was trying to sell.
Il check into it and see if I cant find a training log some where so I can see the kind of progress people are makeing. I dont trust alot of programs I once bought the critical bench program… In 10 weeks it put 0lbs on my bench.

What is there to ask?
Do you think the program you created and are trying to sell is a good one?
