you try using chalk if your grip gives out?

I bought some chalk but havent used it on deadlifts yet it made my grip feel alot stronger on rows tho

I hate pulling without wraps because I have these big caluses on my hands from working out without gloves so I tend to let the bar rest in my fingers and when the bar starts to slip I dont put all my effort into the pull because I dont want to drop the bar at the top of the lfit

its a vicious circle of weakness

it seems alot of guys my age are making training logs. maybe i should make one to starting jan 1st, sadley im like 50 lbs lighter then you guys and not nearly as strong.

a few callouses arent gonna hurt you man. with chalk you should be able to hold on good so it wont mess up your pull from losing grip.

have you been doing any exersizes to strengthen your grip to eliminate this problem?

we all gotta start somewhere. make it

I got the full set of heavy grips and I used them almost every day for the last 6 weeks

I decided to take 1-2 days off inbetween sessions so I could make some more noticable gains

but I think static holds would be more sport specific

whats realy driveing me crazy is trying to figure out why I cant lock anything out when I do sumo

I mean on my last workout my heaviest rack pull was what I was trying to pull off the floor

the bicep crew is gonna hate me because for the next few months Im gonna live in that power rack

squat day with a box

135 x 5
225 x 5
225 x 5
400 x 4-5

I missed 5 because at the bottom of the rep some one thought it necisary to touch the fucking bar in mid air so I looked to the side and said I got it lost some air and the guy pushed the bar into the pins

Fucking ass hole!

finnished off with some step ups

3 x 10 body weight

BAM! found out why I cant lock shit out my damn glutes I been workin them with sumo box squats no wonder I cant lockout shit I feel alot better now

but I could stil use some romanian deadlifts and abb work

I was supposed to squat bu thought a extra day off would be good

This would leave me about 3-4 days to pull 600 what a bitch!!!

since Im starting out with a 315 x 3 deadlift I figure Il start deadlifting without straps/belt hopefully my grip will keep throughout the program getting my body used to sets of 3 deadlift is good I think because at the moment Im used to singels

let the games begin!
