Hey, the guy went from “amusing” to “annoying” a little too fast. The best part is he doesn’t even remember me from his old days, posting as Al Shades…after countless arguments, I felt insulted.

I’m not sure that your ‘revolutionary’ approach to training is working out for you all that well. You look a lot smaller in the second pic. I can’t figure out why.

You might want to stop trying to use yoga and marathon running as muscle building exercises for starters, though.

Also, judging by the first pic, you need to bring the rest of your body up to your ears. There’s definitely an imbalance there.

You know, everyone is bashing him for the results he’s gotten. I think he’s gotten pretty decent results. Sure as far as bodybuilding goes, his development is non-existent, but other than that from the pictures it looks like he has a decent body.

But this just goes to show that results dont mean knowledge. Here you have IMO a trainer that has gotten decent results at building muscle and getting lean, but is a complete moron when it comes to knowledge and reasoning. This is how it all starts. He gets some followers that think he knows the “secret” to getting big, or lean, and before you know it, we are back to spot reduction and 8-minute abs.

Ive said it before. There are a ton of things that can work, and so many factors that go into building muscle that you could do everything right and get minimal results, while another person could do everything wrong and get great results. Sure you can say that results are all that matters, but if you are trying to compare different programs, you cant judge their effectiveness based on results due to individual differences.

  2. If the average gym goer strips away 15-20 pounds of fat and water, he would look a lot better.
  3. Al looks about the SAME as 4 years back but got a little thicker due to the transition from a 16 year old frame to a 20 year old. End of story. appens to anyone who grows older…kinda like he mentioned.
  4. He does not have good development for anything other than a marathon runner.
  5. look at the link dubya posted, you’ll see a comparable level of development. if you’re happy with that, then awesome - but don;t mention him in the bb forum as having gotten “decent results”. Please.

You did not understand.

I pointed out a statement in his post which was quite wrong and showed complete lack of understanding.

That I did not add to it the reasons why it is quite wrong is because probably 99% of those reading already are completely aware of it.

There was no ad hominem attack. Rather, I followed it with a sarcastic statement that reflected how extremely unknowledgeable the quoted statement was.

As to why I didn’t respond yet further, it’s because nothing merited it. Which could raise the question of how even the statement quoted merited it: it did not, but I found it amusing. As for the rest, it didn’t get my interest in any way.

Apparently it got yours, or was even found credible by you, but tastes and judgment vary I suppose.
