and yeah, i went to bench on sunday… there were only two other people there, and i felt as though i’d snuck in.

so i got some liftoffs, some advice*, and two more people got a little more used to the bear.

*Apparently, i wasnt benching with a consistent bar path. I kept it at 135 for a few sets of 3, getting my consistency on par. also, i was told that pushing “back” rather than “up” would help me.

oh and it was suggested i cut the length of my wristwraps in half. tee hee.

i bought some strawberries from the local farmers cart yesterday. apparently it was a metric fuckton, because after i washed and sliced them i had 3 of the big ziploc gladware storage bowls FILLED. i will be eating those today. ok not all of em, but a good portion.

also, my parents have a duck. not by request, but a sheduck has decided to nest in the mulch under the shade of a rhubarb plant up against the side of the house. sheduck has laid eggs, and is sitting on them. a site i found online says they take 25-28 days to hatch, and we’re unsure of how long she has been there, exactly.

dad leaves out a large bowl of water for her, and has rigged up another bit of sun barrier, to keep her from getting too hot. (yes, dad is as much of a sucker as i am for helping, and mom sometimes is, too)

i have INSISTED that mom get out one of the kiddie pools for her to play in once the eggs hatch, because there are no pools or bodies of water nearby, and i do not want baby ducks run over trying to cross the street. mom is hesitating, because she doesnt want the grass to die from the pool sitting on it.
