I’ll do it that way then. I like deadlifts to be heavy, personally. They make me feel STRONGAH!
monster traps, powerful hips… sissy grip
does not compute does not compute does not compute
Go stick your head up a pig’s arsehole if you can’t say anything meaningful.
update: fucking hell it’s hard to get a good workout in between hours of digging, walking, cutting hedges and generally doing stuff for money these days. I managed to shoehorn in a quarter hour session where I just sprinted, clean-and-pressed, did a few pushups, pullups and lunges and stretched. I’m afraid that will probably have to do for the next few weeks.
The question I wish to ask this time is about flexibility and knee troubles. My knees have been snapping, crackling and popping when I walk on my rest days. The problem now seems to have gone away of its own volition, but it’s really unpleasant to feel bits of your knees sliding in and out of position. Is it just possible that too much stretching can do that to you? Should I knock off the evening yoga sessions, or is that likely to help?

cool. That’s three exercises to rotate, should be plenty. Thanks.
I just did my ‘B’ workout and I found it better to oly lift using dumbbells. It seems free-er and not as tough on my joints. For some reason, i seem to have an innate or conditioned fear of olympic lifting using a barbell (as far as I’m concerned, I’m entitled to be wary of over a hundred pounds of steel flying through the air right in front of me?) and the dumbbells circumvent this. I am immensely pleased with myself as I love doing oly lifts with dumbbells.[/quote]
Perhaps this is a bit of an irrational fear? I’m much more wary about messing with DBs for fear of fucking up my shoulder. It can seem kind of scary at first with a BB, but it’s not as bad as you think. If you feel you’re going to fail, you pretty much instinctively push the bar forward.
Seems logical. Unfortunately, when I was learning to clean, rather than learn the clean properly the first time round, I basically just loaded the thing up to 60KG, yanked it into the air and hoped not to die. I’m happy with my choice of dumbbell cleans and it’s all a bit academic now seeing as I’m essentially going to be an item of ditch-digging, fence-building and hedge-clipping livestock for the next month or so, and I snatch time on the internet and in the gym when and where I can.
