My New Log

My other thread reached it’s capacity…I’m open ideas for a new title

The new title should include some mention that in this log you’ll be reaching your goals.

ya, something like that…but my goals are endless! short term, long term…anything’s possible!

The last thread lasted 1.5 yrs!

So sore…contemplated a refeed today, but only been on this diet for two days, haha…I feel A LOT more hungrier than I did last time… people take an EC stack, but I’m not into that…apparently you can pick up some broncaid? at any pharmacy…its asthma medicine, but it has ephedra in it…

I’d rather suffer  I didn’t take anything last time neither…

oh ya, and I’m down another lb…194…exactly where I left off when I took my break…forgot to take measurements…and lazy…

went to the gym to do some walking and play around with the new machines…just in case anyone asks me how to use them.

Im really sore from just the two workouts I’ve done this week!(and hungry :frowning: )

hmmm… i hit quote and suddenly the sentence i was gonna comment on dissapeared. i’m such a sucker for sushi i can’t even read the word without immediately starting to drool. yum!

great work on getting back to ur last end point quickly. time to duck that head, keep nailing the nutrition and workouts and watch the 180’s fly by! =+)

i was wondering what that EC stack stuff was about…only took a quick looksy and didn’t bother reading further. i didn’t think ephedra was in anything anymore. even pseudoephedrine here in CA requires your driver’s liscence (ie…cold tabs) what’s your take on fat burners? i will admit i’ve tried many in the past. i did like HOT-ROX bc i didn’t have that shitty feeling most give you. i’m not planning on taking any in the near future.

again, come spring i may have to go balls to the wall with nutrition and i might think i ‘need’ them… ;\

I think fat burners help people feel less hungry, and give you a bit more energy from all the stuff in them…but then you can easily get hooked on that ‘high.’

I used to take xenadrine when it still had ephedra in it(about 10 years ago!)…I felt like shit when they wore off, and would wake with a headache each morning until I got my ‘fix.’

Not saying all pills are like that, and everyone responds differently. I felt what it must have feel like to wean off crystal meth when I gave the pills up! I just don’t like the false energy and the feeling when they wear off…I did do the f-heit thing(thats how I found the site way back when) And I’ve tried HOT-ROX, but neither did much…I’ve gotten results from just being stricter with food!

When I need a little boost, I’ll have a red bull…yep, I’m hardcore…:stuck_out_tongue:

193.8 FTW!!

I’m back to where I started…5 pounds in three days, dang!! I’d be at my goal in no time if it kept going like this… But realistically, I know thats not possible…if it’s anything like last time, I averaged a 2lb loss a week, and thats including a free meal + a refeed!

I thought of a new name for my log: Anything’s Possible…(magic T-Nation fairies, can you make that happen? :D)

It’s true! And thats the way I’ve been feeling lately…I’ve had in mind of doing a couple crazy things over the next couple years, such as training for a strongman comp and possibly a natural bb’ing show! You only live once, right?

Congrats M-i-M! as for the title of the thread, just go back and edit the first post and you can change it…

Yeah!

That’s not crazy at all! I’d love to see you do both those things.

Thanks!!

Instead of doing 3x8 I did 4x5-6…wouldn’t that make the most sense for maintaining strength/mass? hmm…

I think I may switch up my tbt and do an upper/lower/upper split for something different…we’ll see.

Today:

db shoulder press-4x6x40s

Lat pulldown- 4x6x110

close grip row-3x8x120

lat raises- 3x8x15s

bb curl- 4x6x60

I’m ready for more volume!! But dieting is taking a priority right now.

yeeeeeeeeaaaaah girl! not crazy at all…most definitely live it like there’s no tomorrow!

diet schmiet…just kidding! i’ll be in that place soon enough. awesome #'s…you are strong!! 40 DB shoulder press…wow!

That’s nice. 40 is my goal at the moment.

The bodybuilding seems cool… I’d bet you have the advantage of having a significant amount of muscle. You wouldn’t have the problem of turning out looking wimpy once you’d dieted.
Strongman looks fun but how the hell do you train for that?

Meh, I was at 45s at the beginning of summer…not to brag or anything :stuck_out_tongue:

Looking wimpy? LOL! But ya, I have no idea where to even start training for neither…there is a pro bb’er who is one of the trainers at my gym…he’s trained females before, and he’s natural too.

I guess I’m in training right now, with the strict dieting down…I know I wouldn’t want to compete in either sport as a heavy weight…thats why I’m thinking 165-175 would be awesome!

For strongman, uhhh, well…I guess the first thing is to find a comp. Find out the events for that comp. and train your arse off for them! Not sure how far out you should train, 1 yr, 6 months? I don’t know!

I’m thinking a strongman comp suits me more at this point…a bb’ing show is the last thing people would expect me to do, and thats why I would do it! :stuck_out_tongue: But in all honestly the thought of all the hard work for an old bald guy to check me out isn’t that appealing…

I just want to know what my body can really look like under all this fluff! I suppose I could train like a body builder and find out, eh? But not necessarily do a show…

Strongman Comp. it is!

Down to 193 exactly this morning…I’m guessing I lost all the water that I’m going to lose…
And yes I weigh in every morning…not because I’m obsessed, but because I consider this a science experiment! It’s cool to see how certain foods affect my weight day to day, or if I up the water on one day I’m down 2 pounds the next…

And I’m still staying away from GLUTEN…on my refeed I stick to rice(sushi FTW!), corn chex(mmmm) and mashed potatos :stuck_out_tongue:

I did a refeed once with bagels and pasta, etc…and felt like I was a zombie the next day!

I weigh most every morning too, for the same reason. Science experiment and getting to know what foods and liquid intake do to my body.

Training like a BB but not doing a comp is an idea – the “show pony” aspect of figure/BB doesn’t appeal to me either.

A male bb’er who is a trainer can get away with actually looking big and ripped…chicks like it and it’s good business for the potential male clients…

I think it’s different for the female trainer…can’t be too muscular, but not too soft…somewhere in between…

I wanna look hot while I do countless reps of 120lb presses :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: I think that would be a good example for both men and women!

agreed on the science experiment of weighing…i do it more than once a day…ha!

i think it really depends on the gym and crowd in there as far as appearance of trainers. it really is personal preference. i admire you trainers that are in it to help change people’s lives, i sometimes think i would like to do it. for myself, i appreciate the muscular female trainer. but looking at my gym, the majority of the women are older and it seems they appear to comfortable with the trainers in the middle, so to speak.

and having the knowledge and being able to share it, putting up #'s and being attuned to the client’s needs is more important (to me) than having a “perfect” appearance…whatever that may be.

yessssssss-120lb press impressive to anyone!

There’s a few serious lifters at my gym(especially the evening crowd) but the morning crowd is just sahm’s and random people doing useless shit…

I WANT to help people, and I think people want the help…but if they aren’t ready to change, there isn’t anything you can say to make them think otherwise…
