I know how much you love the intelligent links I find, so here is one to get you in the Halloween spirit: KXVO "Pumpkin Dance" - YouTube
P.S. Loved your costume!!
Yeah, killer quads in that photo.
see if the “scamper” video works…
actually i dunno what the hell i just tried to attach, if its the one i want, there’s “bouldering” (climbs low enough that you’re not on belay), with scamper attempt at the end. didnt realize until after i watched the video that he dropped the camera in order to belay properly… how nice of him, being ready to stop the rope if i fell.
for some reason i keep forgetting to hit the space bar, and ive had to go back and edit most of my posts tonight already. damnit.
I. want. video. If you posted the vids to youtube and just included a link, maybe that would work.
well shit i dunno what i did to piss of T-Nation but im not sorry i did it.
i’ll get working on those youtube videos.
dey’s been uploaded. some of em. apparently i have a whole folder i could put on there. I’ll try to refrain from youtubing what i’ve already posted.
link!
That was pretty much how far I managed to move 253lbs last week. Sucks when the previous weight went up easily enough.
You look as though you have quite a wide grip there, or is that just the angle?

How close am I?
I have not yet had the pleasure of an immovable weight. Sucky form, maybe, but not that.

Thats a good start… of what was said in my head. I work out at a Y, so i’m the only one that swears… i get away with it bc i lift more than the trainers do, and they know i know WHY i do the WAY i do it, more than they do.
savvy? good.
i usually dont take it too far, i dont wanna hafta go lift at the 24hr fitness… the other members have learned not to talk to me unless i approach them. i like my bubble.
cal-> my sincerest condolences for your 253 fail… my heart goes out to you. I know how frustrated i am (still), and that we’ll get ours soon enough.

Rock climbing vids, any?

one, so far
the hobbit must have edited the sound out of this one. i remember significant swearing. i broke many, many rules. i should have been crossing my legs, keeping my shoulders square with the wall, tucking my elbows, and not reaching so far above my head.
fucking hobbit did it 3 times while i was standing there and kept saying, look, its easy!
asshole.

Poor, hobbit.
Sounds like he’s gonna be extinct in the coming weeks.

nah. we’re actually very, very similar people. except for that whole distance running thing he does. he’s acknowledged that i know far more about lifting, mobility, and nutrition than he does, so that’s a plus.
he even had me watch a skiing video (another thing he does) so that i could help him strengthen a few of his weak areas.
can you call it breakfast if its at 2pm? yeah. i hibernated today.
3 eggs in a a pan, with a ladle full (about a cup?) of chili from the crockpot. melt 1/2c shredded cheese on top.
1 biscut, “texas style”
20oz chocolate milk
16oz coffee, with GASP cream and sugar.
add in some evening primrose oil, some fish oil, and some ibuprofen…
my belly is so happy. thought u all should know.
squats and bp later, will let u know how it goes
How do you manage to maintain that tight booty whilst eating all that food? I mean, I’m not adverse to eating big meals and the odd box of chocolates but I don’t have the sort of arse I can post over on SAMA.
hey giiiiiirrrrrl…do tell about that tight booty of yours…
your breakfast sounds delicious. What is Texas style chili? Do you make it yourself?
And what is SAMA? So many questions god damn it!

honestly i’ve eaten like this since I started trying to put on weight in 07. the cleaner and lower carb i eat, the leaner i get, but my body tolerates a phenomenal amount of food, and shit food, before i really start to notice something awry in my appearance.
i know, im a remarkable cunt. molly hates it too.
my only guess is that i’ve been an athlete pretty much all my life, and when i started training again after a 2 year booze break, i went ultra low carb, and 5 days a week of HIIT. not on the eliptical, or tmill, but the real HIIT, the kind where u pull over a trashcan after your 3rd or 4th sprint bc you’re sure you’ll hurl.
after 3 months of that, i woke up one day at 5’8", 130, and a coach guestimated bf of 10%. I cried a little. i was too skinny, too lean. i wanted to fill out my frame with muscle! slabs of it! i wanted to be STRONG! so, i started eating. and eating, and eating. and lifting.

the biscut was texas style, according to the package. i guess, as opposed to “flaky” or “crescent.” but i dunno what texas tastes like, so i cant tell u if the biscut tastes like texas.
the chili i made myself. about 3lbs of ground beef, browned in a pan with 1/2 chopped onion, garlic, salt, and chili powder. pour in crockpot (grease, too!), add 1 each chopped red, yellow, orange, and green pepper, another 1/2 chopped onion, some more chili powder. add enough V8 to barely cover. leave on “low” all night and it will be ready for your eggs in the am. if i know i’ll be wanting lots of carbs, i add black beans, but i never remember to get those at the store. so oh well.
its not the most gourmet, but its easy, and it makes mah tummeh very happy!

CBear, lately I’m the same way. It hasn’t always been this way as 2 years ago I was eating a fraction of what I eat now and sporting a lard suit (that was only for a couple of years that I let things go mind you) I do try to eat clean most of the time just for the sake of my health but I’m realizing that I don’t need to be too strict and my gains are so much better when I eat. I mean REALLY eat. And I’m not carrying near the amount of muscle you are so I’m not surprised you have a good appetite!
I was challenged to an eating competition at work and I thought you would appreciate that
I’m not sure I should do it or not but it’s amusing either way!
ok logged back on to check something b4 the gym and im posting this so i remember to tell u about my first eating competition.
I am cursed with the English pear genetics - I’ve got the same hip structure as my mum and am predisposed to put fat on my hips and thighs. It sucks. I can get reasonably lean above the belt but will still be sporting an arse like two cauliflowers. I’ve done all sorts of crazy diets and training programmes and have never managed to get rid of it, so I figure I may as well just try and eat well, train hard and grow bigger muscles.
I think a lot of the problem is that I’m largely sedentary. Sure, my journey to and from work involves a 2 mile walk, and I walk at lunchtimes, but aside from that, and the gym, I’m sitting all day. I ate quite a lot when I was on holiday in Korea and Japan in September but because I was walking around most of the time, I came back exactly the same weight as I went, with a waist half an inch smaller. I’m starting to think maybe I should quit my job and become a traffic warden or postman or some job where I get to walk around instead of sitting.
