I can’t see the videos. :frowning:

Your new avatar is freaking me the fuck out.

I dont know why my videos wont post. maybe tnaion hates me or something.

good day overall… classes, and hung out with the Hobbit some. Hes starting to become a pretty awesome friend, which will make it so much more fun to swear at him while I’m on the wall. He said it’ll be as much fun making me fall in front of the class, and he’ll do his best to make me fall whenever there’s a camera around.

introduced me to this video:

training**

standing overhead press, x3

bar, bar, 65, 75, 85, 95, 105, 115x1.5, 115x0

have no idea what happened with this. I’ve done 115 so many times. I didnt feel weak, or sore, I just could not push it up. theres another 2 fail videos, im too pissed off at the other 3 videos to try to post em.

then some other stuff:

i forget what its called, but its the row with a barbell in the corner and a plate on the end, and u straddle the bar… can not think of the name for the life of me. sets of 10. 45lb plate x2, 45+25x2, 45+25+10x2.

Inverted rows, feet on floor, to failure= 15

abbbzzz= the foot throw down thing where ur holding onto your partners ankles, supersetted with russian twists… 20 reps on each. (russians were 20 each side)

then the gym closed and it was time to go home.

now i gots to feed the machine.

Funny video, and i think you mean t-bar rows. If your cussing due to missing the lift, then you so gotta post those videos, it will be cbears version of sounds made while/after missing the lift. (saw your comment in cheeta’s log).

we have an apparatus that i’ve called the tbar row, it has a chest support, feet are not on the ground, body is in line.

this was a barbell with plates on one end and the other was shoved in the corner of the walls and i had to sumo dl it up to get into starting position. I sitll cant think of what its called.

the cussing would be during rock climbing, at the instructor, when i fall off the wall and he lets me slide a little bit before he tugs the rope and i jerk to a stop. sometimes, even before i fall off the wall.

EDIT: god bless exrx.net

i guess it was a tbar row, but i held onto the barbell instead of neato little handle things.

corner bb row?

V bar rows?

Loved 'em.

Yeah I have heard it called a few different things, but here is Amanda Graydon from Precision Nutrition doing it. They call it a corner row (also she is doing it with one arm instead of two… but still)

It looks like the link you posted from exrx was using a grappler… found here:

And yeah I call the red, chest supported machine at LAC a T-Bar Row although I have seen different looking machines that people call a T-Bar row as well! =D

akjefhkeshfiwfjan! That’s what I have to say about it!

I’ve always called them t-bar rows from the floor or ghetto t-bar rows. Since we don’t have a fancy t-bar machine its all we can do.

On an ironic note it was doing these t-bars from the floor that tore open my inguinal canal.

I have an old school background when it comes to lifting, and i have had the tbar machine as well, but with a barbell on floor with dbs to hold down one end or in the corner, i just called them old school tbar rows. I have heard it called this whether there is a close grip handle or not.

mmgal, thanks for the video, it gives me a way to do one arm rows with a different variety. /hijack

Climbing:

spent about an hour on the wall today, learning “bouldering” - from what I gathered, climbing on the wall, harnessed but not tied in, moving laterally and learning to cross one leg over the other (they’re always spread so far apart!), while keeping my shoulders squared with the wall… ya i fell alot.

The Hobbit taped some of it, but because he had to belay me, and didnt trust anyone else with the camera, I dunno how much great footage he got.

I keep tryin to convince him to make a screename involving “Hobbit” and post them for me, bc im a lil technology slow, but he scowls at the Hobbit reference.

so, we’ll see how persuasive I am.

Then, as a penalty for using my upper body strength TOO much, i had to scamper up the wall using only the hand holds, and bouncing off the wall with my toes. this was a very spidey move, and once i got the hang of it, i REALLY liked it! dunno how much of a penalty it was, outside of the first 12 times i fell…

and my shoulders feel wonderful.

Love the wet cat. Love. It.
