oh. i just figured that it was a guideline and you moved up when you felt you should. i looked back at a couple weeks ago and you were on 9, so i figured it was time.
i just googled the recon ron pullup program though. i think i may add it to my program.
Recon Ron is a great program but don’t fall into that trap that the program will give results. Results come from the individual and what you put in determines what you will get out of it. I know you workout out with a lot of intensity I’m just saying that to get it out there.

oh yeah. but as far as my adopting the rr pullup program, i do pullups nightly anyway, i might as well adopt an actual scheme that works, so yeah.
and of all things to be weak on… the crunches? what happened? but i know bein’ top heavy doesn’t help much. maybe just trainin’ em quicker…
Well thanks for assuming I’m top heavy but I’m not sure whats going on. I want to be around 70-80 crunches per minute but my progress is slower than I would like.
If I could keep up the 60 a min for two mins then that would have me maxing out my crunch portion every time the problem is I’m just not there yet.
I meant muscle top heavy haha not flab. i’ve noticed that even since you’ve started doing this routine that you’ve started to look like the thing from the fantastic four

I am getting top heavy. All this volume on my arms and back is making me large up top. I want to keep my leg muscle but I just can’t squat or lift enough to maintain my leg size.
I’m sure after Boot and SOI I will look like a lightbulb. I already have it planned to do Starting Strength by Mark Ripptoe once I get to the fleet and basically start all over again with weights but do it right this time.

where the hell did that 260 five times come from?
I won’t lie that 260 killed me but I got it.
The last time I benched I got up to 245 for 5 so I’m pleased with this 15 pound jump.
I think I got it for three reasons.
Every rep I say Marine Corps in my head.
I was blasting some Red “Breathe your life into me”.
The last two bench session I have really thought about my technique i.e. Upper back coiled and pushed into bench, keeping elbows close to body, slow decent explosive push, feet spread and firmly planted, and a small arch in my back.
I’m going to start videoing some of my lifts and exercises such as my pullups, situps, dips, bench etc and start posting those on here.
Tonight was an all around shitty workout. My pullups felt weak. During my dips I got a sharp pain in my sternum which I pushed through but hurt pretty good. I failed on my first set of pushups and did some shitty core work. The 3 miles was pretty bad as well.
Tonight sucked so in response I’m going to eat a big meal, take a bunch of vitamin C, and go to sleep early so I can hit it hard tomorrow.
