My Ideal Physique

I think that the reason many people actually see this as a goal is because when I was kid (31 next month) that was a the normal size for a 14 year old boy.
I realize that guy is not exactly the pinnacle of bodybuilding achievement, but I would like to know exactly what planet you were on 17 years ago where the average 14 year old boy looked anything like that. I think time has played a few tricks with your memory.

I am also not sure that pushups, pullups, and jogging would be sufficient to achieve that physique for most men.

It depends on where they are when they start and how genetically predisposed they are to anabolic activities. I’ve known a guy… or 2 who literally looked better than that having never lifted anything heavier than a beer can.

Some guys could surpass this in 6 months or less. I firmly believe anybody, no matter how fat or scrawny, anywhere in the middle third of their life, could get to this point in a couple years, assuming there is no pathological barrier. Maybe a little more in some cases. Drug free with a bit of knowledge and commitment.

Anyway, I’ve reached my conclusion. I shall go for 190 lbs, and see how I like it. Much thanks to all of the people on this forum that understand and support me. I’ll be sure to take before and after pics of my transformation ( I have before/after pics of my current fat loss transformation where I went from around 20% to 7%, but since I’m not prepping for a Mr. Olympia event, what’s the point?).

Also, I ignored all the whiny pricks because, in the end, nobody cares. I workout to impress myself and reach my goals, not reach yours. Assuming I worked out to impress 15 yr old girls at the beach (a euphemism you guys like to use around here), which I don’t, it still beats working out to impress 40 yr old guys on a forum. It’s alright my sons. Your father forgives you all.

See you guys at 190!
I absolutely loved this thread and agree with your views 110%. I thought that you really defended yourself valiantly and w/ class, while at the same time managed to come away with quite a bit of knowledge throughout the progression of this post.

I just wanted to check in w/ you as far as the RR workout plan as my goals are exactly identical to yours.

Have you been doing the 500-1k situps like he was w/ weights? What has your diet evolved to at this point? Have you seen improvements since this post (about 2 months ago)? RR reportedly said in his interviews that he was on creatine, have you taken any other supplements besides your protein powders? I’m obviously a newbie on this website, but again thanks for the great readings and I wish you luck on your goal.

Ideal for me, thick an full looking
well proportioned

“500-1000 situps sounds time consuming.”

Deadlifts, Squats, Chins? Wouldnt these accomplish that in less time, while building other muscle as well…

Well its a personal choice for you guys i guess

Now that is a good goal!

Anyway to the OP, if you want to look like that you shouldn’t need to add any more muscle really. I’m 5’10" 187lbs, not as lean as ryan and I am definitely considerably larger than he is.

And my goal is to be about 230-250 of useless muscle, just thought I’d add that in there. This is not the right place to really ask for advice on looking like ryan reynolds, if you go to the menshealth forum you will get much better responses.

They will all tell you to read some books/articles about clean eating and then tell you to buy the book NROL and do the routines in there.

I stopped posting on menshealth when i found this site, because menshealth is all geared to a bunch of people that just want to be averagely athletic in build, there is no quality advice for someone that wants to be “hyooge”.

The guy is 6’3" 200 pound is still SMALL

Does nobody read post dates?

Apparently not.

I wonder is the op reached his goal.

I was reading the first page and then realized this post was really old but i was getting annoyed at how people on here get pissed if you dont want to be some 220lb 8% bodybuilder, guarantee you most chicks prefer the body that the OP posted more than anything.

get as big as you like an that you are happy with? your own body at the end of the day
