I’m a 23 year old male, and I’ve had female patterns of fat deposition for as long as I can remember. It’s very odd, but I have a 6-pack on my upper body, and not a single hint of definition on my lower body. I’ve even had my skinfolds measured, and everything on the upper body as well as the calf is under 10mm (except the umbilicus, which was around 12), but when I had my mid-thigh measurement, it was 26mm, and gluteal fold was 23mm. Disgusting.
I went and got some hormones tested, and here are the results:
None of this means anything to me. Does anyone know if 1 or more hormones are out of whack? My doctor, who issued these tests chooses to ignore any complaints.
Your progesterone and estrogen levels seem to be at the upper limit of normal levels. You could try rez-v to lower esterogen levels. According to Poliquin’s biosignature method high estrogen levels is the cause of stubborn fat on the legs. Do HIIT for cardio as well.
You definately have an issue with estrogen elimination. Do you also find that you store fat around your nipples? There are a host of supplements you need to take, none of which will work if you have any issues with digestion/absorbing food and nutrients well.
So without been able to measure and test you in person, the best advice I can give you is to take a fibre supplement that binds with bad estrogens and helps with elimination and eating PLENTY of brocolli and cauliflower. Yes, focus on interval type work as Colin suggested…lactic acid is the way to go for bodycomposition!
My tests compare my scores to the “normal” range, and the reference range for estradiol is 0-161 PMOL/L, which would put me at the low-middle side of normal, and the reference range for progesterone is 0-4 NMOL/L, which would also put me at the low-middle side of normal. All of my values fall within the normal range, but of course, we all know the difference between “normal” and “optimal.”
For those of you that asked, no, I don’t store fat around the nipples. My chest skinfold is lower than my triceps skinfold, which I believe is the indicator for aromatase.
Also, going by the symptoms of digestion and absorption, I don’t have any of the symptoms of poor digestion/absorption.
Hard to know if you have any issues digesting and absorbing food unless tested. The above product suggested by Mutsanah will be the best bet to begin with but again I am somewhat reluctant to say use it for sure if I don’t know whether your are HCL deficient or not. Find a PICP Biosignature practitioner locally and get him to carry out your biosignature. Save you a ton of time playing the guessing game…
Wasn’t sure what the deal is posting products on here from other companies…but that will work BEST.
