Congrats! It’s always a great feeling when you accomplish one of your goals. Keep up the hard work and like others have said, now that you know you can do one, you’ll have no problem going for multiple reps the next time.

wanted to chime in and say good job, one of my friends from HS that was in my weights class was on the hefty side I think he was around 265ish he couldn’t do a pull up before we graduated :frowning: but glad you did though.

I’ll add a question to this post. What is the best way to get better at pullups. I read a reply to do sets of negatives, will that do the trick? Such as if you cant pull yourself up, just push up with your feet to the top, then to a 6 or so second negative for 3 sets of 5 reps or so?

Have a look at this lad’s program using the link above. I’ve found it very effective for the pull ups/chin ups. I’ve got one more week on it before I’m going to take a week off and then start something new.
