I bought the Mens Health ABS Diet book, dont flame me haha it only cost me like 4 dollers. The book has alot of good info in it but I am not too sure on the 3 main meals.
Will I see the same results by changing the 3 main meals to plan chicken or steak, brocoli or spinich and some fruit. Just keep it plan and simple like Beraridi’s 10 Habits.
Breakfest on work days will be a protein shake and banana, off work days will be egg whites with chicken, peppeers onions etc.
For the three snacks I like fruit, almonds or a sandwich on wheat, no mayo etc
My plan is to burn as much fat as fast as possible than when I see abs I will start lifting for size and strength and gradually add calories.
What would you change? Am I going the right direction?
Don’t worry about having purchased the abs diet book. It’s a really good eating guideline. I’ve read it and found it valueable. But as far as I know the eating guidelines in that book should be somewhat similar to JB’s guidelines.
If you’re a beginner, just follow the premise prescribed by both and you’ll see results. If ever in doubt what to eat…Chicken, green veggies and fish oil.
The Abs diet is not a low-carb diet by any means, they focus on eating the right carbs. I find this to be great advice, the only exception to that is I would only be eating them in the morning and post-workout so those carbs will be put to use instead of being stored for energy later in the day and towards bed time. I feel results will come quicker to you by doing such.
I think the biggest change that is going to help me out is only getting carbs from health foods. I am going to try the exact 7 day plan from ABS diet and see how I feel. For now I am basically using a little bit of ABs and 10 Habits.
My pants are actually fitting a little bit better already.
