Well, now that changes things.
That’s pretty much what I (and Scott) was trying to say.
People seem to be under the misconception that you need to make drastic changes to the way you train if you want to lose bf and maintain muscle. But, if you look at the majority of bodybuilders when they prepare for shows, they don’t make major changes. They don’t do HIIT, Tabatas, circuits, or any of the so called “fat burning” protocols. They just alter their diet and up the cardio.
Now I’m not saying that those “fat burning” programs don’t work, they do. But it’s pretty hard to argue against the effectiveness of the methods that bodybuilders use to get ready for contests in terms of losing bf and maintaining muscle. Because to be honest bodybuilders are pretty much the epitome of accomplishing that feat.
