Inspired by the Alpha thread but I can’t post there anyway hopefully someone will look at this and give me and opinion
I’m 20 around 5’9 and 176lb for breakfast I have:
Half cup of raw oats
100g Whey
Tablespoon of EVOO
600ml of goats milk
According to Fitdays online counter it comes to 1050 cals, 43.9g fat, 62.2g carbs, 105.1g protein.
I am looking to add size. I have always hated breakfast and this seemed the best way of cramming food down my throat. So would anyone add anything or take anything away?
Thanks.
If it works, stick with it. How much mass have you put on using this approach?
I try to get in as many calories as I can (usually) with breakfast, so I may use a large shake with broccoli, whey blend(although if $$ allows Metabolic Drive) eggs, peanut butter, flax seeds and water.
Or lately a huge bowl of chilli with breakfast. Real foods are better IMO!
I’ve been doing a large liquid meal for breakfast for years. I can handle larger amounts of solids in the morning than I used to, but I still prefer to start out with a large liquid meal for simplicity’s sake.
That’s a lot of whey, but if it works, it works. Just make sure you’re getting plenty of protein during the rest of the day, too, but that looks like a pretty good way to start the day.

I only just started two days ago. My weight gains had stagnated while my lifts were still going up so I decided to change my previously puny breakfast. I hear you about real foods but I struggle to eat anything solid in the morning and have little time as I am rushing out for work.

If you read my T-Cell thread, then im assuming you saw what some of the bigger guys are eating. I wouldnt say i know anything about that online calculator, but to me that doesnt quite look like 1k calories. Your intake should be based on your growth. If all your meals look like your breakfast and you’re growing, then keep at it, but remember time is a large factor. 2 days is no length of time to measure anything in terms of growth. Give it some time.
Yeah Akuma is right, that’s nowhere near 1000 cals. Every morning I have 1 cup of dry oats, 1 scoop of whey, and 1 banana and 4 fish oil gels which comes out to a bit over 500 cals. unless if goats milk is super high fat, I don’t think that’s 1000

Ya you might be right I was fairly surprised when it said 1050. I’m gonna stick with it for a month and judge what gains I have made then. Cheers for the responses everyone.

Wow! 100 grams of whey. Just seems like a waste to me. Maybe it’s just me, but I think 50 grams of casein would be better.
I personally am not too big a fan of casein. I think the only time ill take caesin is when im cutting, pre bed with water.
175g(6oz or so)Top Round or flank steak
3-Whole Omega-3 Eggs
25g Mixed Nuts(Almonds,Pecans,Walnuts)
1/2Scoop Grow! Whey
Half a cucumber cut into slices
Handfull of cut celery
Spinach to cover the eggs
2-Flameout caps
4,000 IU vitamin D
On non-workout days i have the same as above but add in 140g of berries and 1-fat-free plain greek yogurt.

I can get 10lb bags of whey for around 30 euro so its not a financial strain. Do you just think its too much for my body to put to use?

Its basically a big pink milkshake not exactly picture worthy
I thought this would turn into a thread with everybody posting their breakfasts. I always like to get ideas on what I could be eating, and pictures make it so much easier to imagine if I would eat that for breakfast.

Just seems like a waste of protein [to me]. My breakfast is 6 jumbo eggs [8g pro, 4.5g fat, 90 cals each, 48g pro, 27g fat, 540 cals total] either scrambled or omletized with sliced mushrooms, bell peppers and onions, with 1/3 a bag of hash browns or obrien potatoes [about 60g carbs, 240 cals]. Adds up to a bit over 800 cals, and it’s pretty cost effective. I cut the veggies up one night and put them in tupperware [mix lasts about a week] and saute 'em before mixing in the rest. It’s fucking killer.

I never take more than 50 grams at once. However if this is working then I wouldn’t change it.

Yeah I think a lot of it will not be used, seems like a waste for me. What I do is drink 40g of whey with each meal, and each meal has like a regular portion (i.e. not bodybuilder portion) of protien… i.e., 40g whey protein with 3 jumbo scrambled eggs with mushrooms and cheese, 1/2 cup of of oats w/ blueberries. Then, take some fish oil caps. This = power breakfast.

If I dropped the amount of whey to say 50g and drank 3 raw eggs would that be an improvement? The reason I say raw is because I have serious trouble eating solid food in the morning and don’t mind the texture/taste of raw egg so it would be easier for me to take them this way.
