My Best Friend is a World Record Holder

http://www.powerliftingwatch.com/node/17431

His name is Dan Dumitrache he trains and lives in Romania

I want to know how hard or if it’s even possible for a foreign athlete to get sponsored by a US company.

He went up one weight class he is training to break Jack Barnes record in the 181 class witch I he already did in training

I am posting here in his name because he does not speak very good English if you guys have any questions feel free to ask here he will answer trough me

here are some training vids
- YouTube squat 660 lbs

- YouTube deadlift 638 lbs

- YouTube bench 440 lbs

the bodyweight in the training videos was around 168 lbs

And here is his last competition in Finland

Can you guys give me some tips in how to help him get a sponsorship? Maybe guys who are involved in powerlifting.

Do you know if he’ll be at the GPA Worlds in Argentina this year? If so looksl ike I’ll be going head to head with him!

Yes he will be there he will compete in the 181 class

He told me he squatted 716 in training so he will try to break the 181 squat world record also in Argentina.

Well I look forward to meeting and competing against him. I will be in the 181’s as well.

Is he fucking hollow or something? That does not look like a man that could compete at 181 nevermind 165.

Look how short he is.

Seriouly what is this man’s height. I mean this looks ridiculous. If i had to guess without knowing, I would say he weighs around 250-265. Is he literally unver 5 feet??

He is around 5’5"
Yeah he always gets this reaction especially before the weigh-ins the guys operating the scales cannot believe how light he is…in person he seems so big that you do not even notice how short he is…crazy genetics I have no idea…

Thanks!

Damn I wish I knew someone that strong!

As for this, there are a few sponsored guys who keep training logs here in the log section. You may want to drop them a message in their log or PM them.

Also you should probably start ringing up supplement and equipment companies!

is a bbing.com belt? And straps on the deads? BAH!
Na this guys is strong as shit, hope you can find a sponsor for him.

:)) yeah he uses a bodybuilding belt

Can you guys recommend a good pair of knee wraps he said the best one he used were the metal all black ones is there anything stronger than that any suggestions?

5"5 isnt really that short. I was expecting somethin 5 3 or below. Damn, that is just mind boggling that he is so light. I mean his waist isnt even small. I just dont get it

Your friend is a strong dude, good luck to him.

That is crazy he is so light. I am 5 3 and 162 and he definately looks like he has a good amount of weight on me. That shit cray.

the warcry on that deadlift should be worthy of a few free supplements to say the least
