Libido is directly affected by catecholamines, dopamine in particular. Your brain needs testosterone to produce dopamine, so the idea is that raising your test overall should give you enough test to generate dopamine. If that’s actually the problem. You can experience dopamine issues for a variety of reasons, many of which have nothing to do with testosterone. So, if elevating your test levels (by whatever means) did not fix the problem it is very unlikely that Nebido is going to anything positive for you, seeing as it’s the worst possible option available anyway. Your E2 may be the culprit for Clomid failing. Or you may have a completely separate problem, like thyroid function. You could try Tyrosine or mucuna pruriens and see what they do for your libido. B2 or B6 may also affect it.
Ok another update here.
I waited two more weeks to see how things would change after stoping Clomid.
Here are the values for T and Est.
Total T: 4.96 ng / mL ( 3-10.8 )
Estradiol: 18 pg/mL ( 11-44 )
Looks like both fell but Estradiol a bit faster.
Also, during this time I had a phone consultation with Dr. Abraham Morgentaler ( author of Testosterone for Life ).
He believes also that I should be on TRT and agrees with my local urologist that Nebid is a good start.
So today I’m going in for my first injection and hopefully will help.
Nebido wasn’t designed to elevate levels into the high normal healthier ranges, by design it was only meant to elevate levels to low to mid normal levels which is stated on Nebido website. It will take a long time for Nebido to reach stable levels ~ could take months.
Provided you’re in Italy it’s your only good option.
