aaaaahh!! BUSTED!! run!
…joeee
I’m interested in the 20 rep squat programme as well, might have tio try as i’m injured with a shoulder injury.
This would add some excitement too my leg workouts.
What does having a “widomaker” set, after a few sets of smalelr reps do?
As you wouldn’t tell someone to do this after benching etc.

It makes your legs Grow! And you puke, and your legs sore as hell!
Read up in the “Trying DoggCrapp Training” thread for more on the widowmaker.
Plus, I don’t see why, with great spotters you couldn’t do this with bench or dips etc.
Sorry for my poor spelling, lol.
Ye, I know about DC Training, but why not have a 20 rep bench routine- maybe one of us could try that!
Just curious why people just do widowmakers with lower body.

I’d like hear of others 20 rep squat experiences. I’m wondering if anyone has ever cut using the BMR increase due to high reppers and/or the LBM gains made using 20rep squats. I read where Platz would do reverse sets and end up squatting 225 for 10 mins non stop to cut for a comp(s). I’d also like hear of the effect that steroid use had someone’s squats. Did it make it easier or more intense or increase the gains or nothing at all?
Thanks in advance![/quote]
i tried them today for my dynamic leg day after reading this thread. it felt good
I went from 165 to 190 in fairly short order with 20 rep squats.
A lot of that was muscle that I had already lost, obviously, but still. Solid program. Mix it up with some 5x5 or low rep schemes every two months or so and you’ve got yourself a prescription for bulk and strength.
i got some amazing growth from this:
Day 1: Squatsx3; All Breathng sets from 20,17,15reps
Day 2: Squatsx3; All Max Effort sets.
Plus other leg work on each day too, inc. breathing press on max effort day… but thats the point, breathing/20rep squats really fucking work. And hurt. Make ya dizzy…
