Muslim Extremism in Sweden

Exerpt:
As a group of Swedish Muslims begin their midday prayers in a mosque still blackened by smoke from a recent Molotov-cocktail attack, Bejzat Becirov, director of Malmo’s Islamic Center, is talking urgently.
“I’m afraid the same thing will happen here as in Paris,” says Mr. Becirov, a Macedonian immigrant who opened Scandinavia’s first mosque in this city in southern Sweden in 1984.

Malmo, which has one of the highest percentage of Muslims of any western European city, illustrates the challenges facing a continent whose native population is increasingly wary of a rapidly expanding and often discontented Muslim population.

But while the mosque has been a target for attacks since its founding, there is increasing evidence that Islamic militants are gaining a foothold in Sweden by successfully exploiting racial tensions and Muslim anger over economic underachievement, and ghettoization.

Bosnian authorities arrested a Muslim Swede in Sarajevo in October for possession of explosives while Islamist websites published several inflammatory but unsubstantiated claims in late summer that a mujahideen training camp has been established in southern Sweden.

Meanwhile moderate Muslims like Becirov, whose progressive mosque is a place where Sunnis and Shiites praying side by side, are increasingly under fire from both Swedish nationalists who see them as dangerous representatives of radical Islam and Muslim fundamentalists who see them as selling out to Western ideas.

I think this explains a lot about young master Lixy.

LOL!

Wow…I thought Lixy was just using Sweden in fun. I didn’t think there were any Muslims in Sweden.

Are the Muslims there from the Middle East or are they native Swedes who converted? I find it odd that people from the ME would move to such a cold climate with such radically different foods, culture, and so forth.

I think you guys are missing something. Namely, there is no such thing as “Muslim Extremism”, either in Sweden, or anywhere else in the world. See, these people that you call extremists, are actually either

A) Perfectly normal, peace-loving Muslims who are driven to acts of sheer desperation by the oppression of capitalists, imperialists, or any myriad of other institutions created by the evil hands and minds of rich white infidels.

B) Crazy killers hiding behind the mask of Islam in order to avoid detection.

Anyway, apologists - wait, I mean Enlightened Intellectuals have assured me that using the term “Muslim Extremists” is unfair to all the millions of peaceful Muslims who do not yell “Allahu Ackbar” while shooting soldiers or blowing up civilians.

Abusing the Muslim population in such a way could cause many of them to convert to non-Muslim extremism, thus adding to the violence. Please choose your words more carefully in the future.

That is all.

Iraqi refugees want to go to Sweden.

If you look at the city of Malm?, you can see a perfectly good example of how wrong the swedish “multi kulti” experiment has gone.

Young swedes burn the swedish flag on the national day, beacause the political correct attitude is that “nations are an evil construct” and that all kind of nationalism is wrong… all groups right of the center is named “right wing extremists” and newspapers are forbidden to use the term “foreign” when describing crimes…

Sweden is a very tolerant welfare state. A haven for those that can go there, live on welfare, and demand that the native Swedes accomodate their every need, and refuse to assimilate.

Phelps and his ilk are supposedly going to “preach” at the funerals of the victims of Virginia Tech. Phelps makes me want to believe in hell, because that is where I hope he’s going.

This is some seriously twisted shit. I had no idea the Tsunami disaster has been used politically against Swedes.

This is sick.

And now you have insight as to what it’s like to see all the crap people try to blame the US for.

Interesting feeling huh?

What are you talking about? The Tsunami was a natural disaster. It’s not like the Swedish armed forces went invading Atlantis, overthrew Poseidon and the resistance caused the Tsunami to punish Swedes.

I already have the “insight as to what it’s like to see all the crap people try to blame” Islam on. No hard feelings though. Just a bitter taste of pessimism.
