Hey everyone,
Recently I went overseas and got quite sick, I was overseas for about 4 weeks, no training, poor diet, then got badly sick last week. My weight has dropped about 8kgs (some of it was fat too.)
but unfortunately a fair bit was muscle too imagine. I had just completed a bulk prior to flying out. My arms were 17", now they are around 15.5" 
So it brings me to muscle memory.
Has anyone had an experience like this, what can I expect in getting that muscle back? I hope it is easier this time round, because it was VERY HARD work for me to build my body to that level and I’m quite depressed.

Everyone I know who stops working out gets there muscles back pretty quick. Plus you were only not training for 6 weeks. You’ll be back in no time. Hit those weights, fool.
For sure. Gaining muscle that you have had before is no problem.
Building muscle is always HARD WORK but, you should get it back fairly quick. Just be smart and don’t hurt yourself.

I’ve had periods where I’ve laid off weights for a month or two, gone back in the gym and was pretty weak. Then by week 3 I’m right back to where I was before the layoff.
