anyone know what time tonight (ET) the winners will be announced?
Cutler has too much torso, stumpy legs, unimpressive glutes, just too blocky
Melvin Anthony should win strictly for popping and locking.
Ruel looks like my littleman while playing Call of Duty, happy as can be
cutler looked insane in that posing
Jay still looks shredded, I think the title is his.
Phil is a pretty mofo, I’ll say it again. I just like his look a fuck ton, not sure what it is.
after the posing round (and i love kai) i could see him slipping to 5, he just seemed defeated/brief tonight thus far, branch was awesome, toney looked better maybe top 5-7, vic was better tonight very emotional posing w/ the loss of his sister, Phil looked night and day, Jay was huge and solid, Dex was like a razor. rockel might get 6.
Pulumbo, Dorian and others said this was Kai’s show to win, he was off a bit. let’s see how it goes.
Respect to Jay Cutler, all of his fanboys who don’t know shit suck, but he did well. Branch Warren ANIMAL.
Dexter could win, his structure is flawless (minus calves). Phil looked great tonight, best arms (triceps) ever maybe. KAI nobody has what he has, if he’s “on” HE IS THE BEST, he didn’t get it done this year.
peace out fellas, legs are sore today, good training GODSPEED! 215lb today felt big until my friend whom i haven’t seen showed up to train traps, looking HUGE at 240lbs…this is a humbling sport and journey.
Wasn’t expecting the 3rd place! Wow!
Cutler wins it, looks like a well deserved win for Jay. Still can’t believe that Dexter fell to 3rd, Phil at 5th, and Branch sneaking in there to 2nd. When the announcer said “your new Olympia champion” the crowd thought it was Branch, but the right man got it.

Same fucking shit - SAMA posts go right through while this forum takes forever.
If there is one time during the year you would think real-time discussion would be key…
I guarentee 100% they have to pre approve our posts to make sure we dont mention any supplement companies or links.
All of a sudden its over back to normal FANCY THAT.
Though you expected different lol

Wow, your predictions were very good - I am impressed.
I did see something in Branch Warren also hence my being starry eyed by him but I didn’t think they would reward him that high. I do wish he had won and I would like to understand why many say he is not right “structurally” and not ‘gifted’. I don’t quite see that yet.
Would love to see more of him.

He just doesnt have the “right” insertions in his muscles. When you looks at guys like Dex and Heath, they are just “prettier.” The muscles flow better, it looks more pleasing. Unforunately you cant do a damn thing about it. Looks at Cutlers midsection, his abs are staggered… Nothing he can do about it, but the guys with abs that line up(Dex for example) just look better

Ah, yes. I understand.
I failed to see it because his vascularity was so good and I focused on that instead and I do agree about flow. Will have to train my eye about insertions, though.
I will be going to the British bodybuilding show soon and hopefully someone will teach me some awareness on that.
Thank you very much.

Its also why guys like Ruhl, who are just insanely large… Like really insanely HUGE, dont just walk all over everyone. He doesnt “look” better, even though he has built his body up more than the other body builders.
It’s really unfortunate that so much gets placed on how you are put together instead of the more objective things like mass, leanness, and “hardness” … Things usually achieved by effort instead of genetics. It was nice to see Branch get rewarded for his physique(just absolutely rock solid), even if it isnt the most pleasing to the eye.
Look at Jay’s lats V. Kai and you can see another example of how muscle insertions can dramatically affect your look. Jays lats come in high, leaving a waist, whereas Kai’s lats almost seem to descend all the way down his back, creating that “wing” look.
I’m extremely pleased about Branch’s second place. THE RETURN OF HARDCORE!
Thanks for posting the pics guys

YES, that one is a good example you picked to teach me since it is clear for me to see that!
I don’t have a solution for that but you guys tell me.
Yes, I did see that!
I agree. It makes me question, though, when we say Kai’s back is bigger/better are we not expressing a subjective preference rather than making an objective observation?
Thank you very much - don’t need to wait for the British. You have been a good teacher. I will now go to that live competition with a sharper eye.
BB is much more interesting when looked at under the light.
Thank you for putting the light on for me.

Cutler deserved it. Happy to see Branch Warren place so high as well.
