If classic physique competitions were judged from the front only, it would be hard to beat this boy.
This is a screenshot i took from shaun clarida’s back workout video with john meadows. he is one of my favorite 212 bbers at the moment but putting on 10 pounds of stage weight on a very small frame every year started to show it’s consequences. You notice it much more in the video.
Bumstead’s looking good. When I saw him in person (last year’s Olympia), his height is really evident. It helps in some poses, not in others, and when shorter guys like Breon look aesthetic and not blocky, he’s got to be spot on for the big game.
I’ve always loved Shaun. I know him from way back in his Wnbf days, and we used to chat a bunch (his old training partner and I competed against each other in '09). Anyway, despite his coach-jumping (which seems to be a common ifbb thing these days), the guy truly gives it his all and then some. I love seeing the “little guys” bring it and truly pose a threat to the title.

Doesn’t look like he’ll take the stage at Mr O this year
Really? I wasn’t aware. Just skipping, or something as the reason?
S
In his last instagram post, he wrote last quad workout of my olympia prep. he is doing it.
I think he is remaining positive. Phil Heath has apparently officially withdrawn (even though I can’t find an official announcement).
His IG is full of comments that’s he’s not competing… of course Ronnie thinks he’s gonna “pull an ‘80 Arnold” -lol
S
Apparently, he’s declined a guest invitation for the Mr O.

What the fuck is this?
I am a huge fan of pro bodybuilding but i found this truly disturbing and terrifying.
This Frank McGrath type of vein thing is not for me.
Paul Dillet has tons of veins but never won the Olympia. At a lesser level Meadows has veins everywhere but will never win a Pro show.
Physiques are about a lot more than vascularity or strange skin. This seems to have gotten confused in the last several years.

Is someone else taking a shot of him through a mirror? lol
Kamal or Shaun Clarida for the 212 title.
Derek Lunsford came too soft. What a shame.
Open was a big disappointment. Most guys are off. Brandon, Hadi, Bonac. Thats my top 3.
Yeah, lotta threads on other sites saying that no one really came conditioned.
S
I caught a bit of the livestream. Curry and Bonac have great lines. Hadi looks great too but doesn’t have the flow in his physique like the other 2. Still I agree totally about the top three.
Roelly, was blurry, Dexter was also not as sharp as he usually is. I’m a big fan of Cedric’s physique mainly because of his classic flowing lines, hopefully he will be in the top ten.
