I think the one year Kai was close in the prejudging (actually, I believe he was ahead on the judges’ scoring sheets), the night show (the next day actually) told a very different story. As long as it’s not a total blow out on Kai’s part, he’ll never edge Phil for the win. Right or wrong, there’s too much ‘baggage’.
Really curious to see if Ramy steps up though. Structure wise he can dwarf Heath, so it’s going to come down to quality and conditioning if he wants to go toe to toe.

Kai may be bigger and maybe even more conditioned on the day.
What has been mentioned as well is his waist though, and those typically don’t get smaller after they get bigger (when in contest shape I mean). His has grown a bit over time.
I am far from an expert on the sport and don’t know if it’s GH abuse or insulin abuse that cause the gut bloat, but I’m pretty sure whatever substance that results in organ hypertrophy is to blame. Phil has it too of course (most IFBB heavyweight pros do), but it’s less noticeable/to a lesser degree.
It’s tough to take the role of king. I’d have to bet on Phil winning again.
Plus Kai doesn’t have enough chest thickness and chest depth

kai’s waist was great in 2012 (contest Stu is referencing) and that was after he came in yrs previous looking bloated and folks said drugs had ruined in aesthetics.
kai needs to stay lean and not play the size game. he needs to be outer-worldly sick condition wise to make it competitive.
phil has flaws, he’s not a dorian, ronnie, haney type Olympian but he’s good enough to keep beating a forever less than 100% kai, a kai that might not exist…kai was the winner for 90% of the 2012 show, then phil kicked his ass in the close out.
winkleer looks to be growing and improving, as for ramy – we’ll see, i think he is a flash in the pan and will end up like brewer.

I feel that Rhoden and maybe B-Pak are the only ones standing in the way for Wolf to win the AC.
As far as the Olympia, I feel the story lines are similar to last years (minus Cutler’s return). Can Ramy show up conditioned with all that size? Will Kai finally put it all together? Will the rising stars finally make a big splash (Lionel, Evan, Cedric)?
The top 4 does not look like it will change much in my opinion. Cutler is gone. 2013 proved as long as the top 4 come in conditioned that Dex is a non factor. Ramy still needs to prove himself. Roelly may improve but the best package I have seen from him (this past year) still couldn’t put him in the top. Branch might as well not show up. Vic still has decent road ahead of him to return to his former self.
Since Victor Martinez is competing again it will be easy for him to regain the size
I might even bet that Vic will win an Olympia in a few years! Specially Rhoden cause he is as symmetrical as Dexter Jackson and conditioning is spectacular!

Kai should have come 3rd this year wolf looked much better than him so maybe wolf will bring home the bacon this year
