OoooOhh, so you were always kinda naturally strong then? What kinda training did you start out with to get your numbers so beastly strong like that?

For the most part. I got a trainer back in 2007 who literally introduced me to actual strength training. Before that, I kid you not, I would go into the gym, run for nearly an hour and then do a series of machines, some delt raises and crunches. The first day he put a barbell on my back I had 2 plates on it with good form and depth. It still took years for me accept my fate.

I remember I starteded 5/3/2010 with a 200squat, 180 DL and 110 bench… and have been following it since. I would plateau every few months and change it up, but I honesty disn’t track much until this most recent round. The last 5 months I have seen insane progress!

This was a decent workout. I need to get some cardio back in. I have been slacking for a couple of weeks. I dont sleep well ad have been so exhausted every morning. I have no idea why, since I drink about 1 cup of coffee a week. Nate says I should asleep study, but I feel like they will just give me ambience and I’m not about together addicted to that shit.

Excited to deadlift. More excited to deadlift next week…I am going to try for 385! If I get it, I KNOW I will get 400+ at these in June!

Hanging Leg Raise 3x10

Prowler 2 45lb plates each side 6 60 yard trips. NOT fun.

I got conned into doing the prowler with one of the guys at my gym. I managed to convince one of my new clients to do it after her workout. She did awesome - I was impressed!

There were people in the squat racks today. I was perplexed so I sat on the chest press machine for about 20 minutes waiting for one. I felt like crap going into the workout so it was actually very welcomed.

Awesome PR…I love how you don’t highlight it at all, but you hit 315x10 in deadlift, which is about a 420 max…boom!

Well shit, you’re one of the people who uses the GHR for situps? Now I have to stop making fun of them.

Aw man can you show us a 405 deadlift soon? That would be awesome.

 Don’t worry, when I pull my 4 plates, I will highlight it. Until then, it’s all practice.

Yeah, I made fun of them for a long time too! Then I tried them one day and was sore for almost a week. There is a key factor though…train it on the decent rather than the ascent. I can do a sit up all day long, but if I do it for a 5 second decline with weight, it’s a killer. Also, go into full hyper extension on that slow decent, rather than just to 180 degrees.

…I also do weighted GHR’s. I didn’t start doing the sit ups until I could do GHRs with my hands behind my head…just saying

Soon soon. I’ll see if I can get 385 next week.
