Bingo!

I’ve got to get use to 3 wheels as standard weight and look forward to 4.

That is a strong bench, OP. Blowing past 350# will feel good.

And I am right there with you on the 3 wheels. If it calls for 305 or 310, it gonna be 315 on the bar…at least on lower body.

Thanks LS - I can’t imagine 350 right now - guess I’d better start seeing it. Maybe that’s whats holding me back!

C5/W3 MP Night

Weigh In 197lbs (crap! see working sets)

Standing Mili’s:

Warmup the shoulders:
2 x Bar x 20
8 x 90

Working Sets:
5 x 135
3 x 155
1 x 185
1 x 195 (PR)
0 x 205
4 x 175

BBB:
2 x 10 x 115
3 x 10 x 90

Dips:
15 x BW
10 x BW +45
15 x BW +90
7 x BW +115

Bench Ab Raises:
3 x 15

Closed the gym. Had to leave.

I wanted that bodyweight overhead press but wouldn’t ya know…I weighed in at 197 for the first time in my life. That’s what I get for working out late.

I start mili’s racked about chest high and lift off the rack to collarbone height. From there, no push just straight press. I was tempted to push press the 205 but wanted to see if I could get it. It moved about 3 inches and that was it.

Happy with the PR though! Been wanting to own that bitch. Time to move on like the little whore I am.

congrats on the body-weight MP PR powers! it’s close enough for me, I lose 2 pounds overnight

Nice work on the PR. I did the same thing last week. 195 went up (pr), 205 failed half way. Should’ve had MM spot me!!! Dips are lookin good as well.

Nice PR, OP! And I bet if you weighed this morning, you were at 195 or less. So it counts as a bw press.
I can’t wait to see you and RL, top 200#. That is going to be a good day!

Way to go on the PR. And 3 wheels on the squat. You’re miles ahead of me. 315 is going to be my goal this year.

Thanks Everyone.

SD and LS - Yep - weighed in at 195 today so its unofficially official. After reviewing Meats MP’s, I think I’ll start at chin high next time and see if 205 will go up. If its good enough for Meat, its good enough for me.

RL - Sorry I missed that in your log. Congrats. Now I know how hard it is. As beat up as I feel today, I’m sure you’ll hit 205 ahead of me.

UN - As hard as you’re hitting it, I’m sure that’ll be an easy goal.

C5/W3 Dead Night

Warmups - Stretching.

Romanian Deads
10 x 135
5 x 225
5 x 275
5 x 315

Deadlifts:
5 x 245
3 x 280
2 x 315

A bunch of low rep BBB’s for form, grip, etc.
Just couldn’t get my hips close to the bar tonight. Doing everything with the back so I cut it short.

Some other stuff for Calves and Lats…

I am totally spent. Just didn’t have it in me tonight for pulling or doing much of anything. I didn’t know it until I started lifting. Had plenty of energy today, but everything is damn heavy. It was a good week of Bench, Squats and Mili’s. Nothing left for Deads.

Deload supposedly next week, but I travel to Europe week after next, so I’ll probably do another week and then deload across the pond or…stretch and do mobility like hell for two weeks.

Tomorrow I’m meeting a friend who competes in the USAPL Masters events. He has an F5 bench shirt in my size that’s too big for him, so we are going to give it a go.

Should be an interesting workout. Never tried on gear. Its cherry pop’in time.

Bench Shirt Practice:
Used Titan F6 size 44

Warmup:

135 x 10
185 x 8
225 x 5
245 x 2
275 x 2

Shirt On:
275 x 1 three board.
315 x 2 two board
335 x 2 two board
355 x 1 one board
365 x 1 one board miss
355 x 2 one board
375 x 1

Really hard to pull the bar down. The closest I could get to my chest was a one board. The shirt is pretty tight and left some good marks under the arms, across the chest and tris.
I’m pretty wiped out from last week and have been experiencing some shoulder pain, but the shirt didn’t seem to stress the shoulders at all.

Interesting time and I’m glad an experienced PL’er gave me the intro. Too early to tell how much I can get out of a shirt.

The call of the dark side is strong…

Oh, you dirty, dirty whore! Now, not even a shower will get you clean.

Interesting . . . VERY interesting . . .

OK - Yes I’m cut and bruised
yes, I feel a little confused today
yes, I’m a little ashamed and
yes, even though it hurt I kinda liked it.

But I’m not a WHORE.

It was only one time!
I’m a little vulnerable right now OK?

Lol…we understand.
I have to admit, I am VERY interested in your take on the gear. Since we get to watch the progression/experience from the very beginning, even more interesting.
Great job.

This is why I lift heavy stuff.

A photo of my daughter taken yesterday before Sr. Prom.
She ran into my room last night at 1:00AM and excitedly announced that she and her date were elected Prom King and Queen. A very large High School.
She is the coolest kid you’ll ever meet. Very down to earth, smart and unpretentious. Takes mission trips every year to help build homes in Nicaragua. Headed to a private Christian College.

I have no fricken idea what I did right with this one, but she makes the world a better place.

Man - time flies.

I think my Estrogen level is slightly elevated today - See the posts above.

It might be a gear effect. I’ve heard gear can do that.

KSMan might be able to shed some light. Think I’ll go do some gardening now.
Ta Ta.

Nice work my friend. Is this a single ply shirt I am assuming? don’t listen to anything Meat has to say about this either, or Steve for that matter. You are now doing ‘real’ lifting.

Correcto mundo - Its IPF/USAPL certified single ply Titan F6 - competition fit.

The shirt was too large for the guy I picked it up from. He said it was broken in, but my arm size is an inch larger than what they make in a 44 and we had a bitch of a time getting it over my elbows, even with grocery sacks.

I think I’m going to be breaking it in a bit more.
