Nice 'un OP. Were you top water fishing?
Thanks - Good Taste’in too.
We were Striper fishing but the water was too cold, air pressure wasn’t just right, moon was full, and every other reason Stripers don’t bite this time of year. So we switched to Big Mouth and I caught that one on a deep running crank bait.
Good question mrodock. Its not clear on the website or entry form. I’ll call my rep and find out.

Bench Day
Forgot my cheat sheet so had to go by memory on the 5/5/5 poundages. To lazy to do the math.
Warmup - Foam rolled and stretched my IT Bands - They have been constantly sore so I’ve been working them almost daily. Shoulder stretching and dislocates.
Bench Press
10xBar, 10x135, 5x205, 5x245, 7x265 (the 5x245 should have been 235)
Can’t win or lose unless you run the race.

Hey OP, are you certain you don’t need a qualifying total in order to do Master’s Nationals?
I am pretty sure in USAPL that you don’t need a “qualifying” total to go to Master’s nationals, unlike all the other divisions, as there are “—” in this section in the handbook, but I am not sure if you need to have at least a token total, i.e., one complete meet under your belt to go.
I really can’t imagine doing a National Meet as my first. Kinda feels like I’m over-reaching.
The meets are two weeks apart, so all in all, there are a lot of time challenges. If I can get family support, I may try to do the State meet in Arlington. I fly home late Thursday, would need to drive up Friday and weigh in, meet on Saturday, drive home and catch a flight out Sunday AM. Gotta sell my wife on this one. I’ll be at The Masters (Golf) the first week in April so I won’t be home for three full weeks.
I bet you needed a lot of warmups at 5 am. How the heck are you able to do BBB that early. Don’t know how you, Harry and Wilson workout hard so early in the day.
Warmup - foam roll, stretching, Hip Flexor and ITB focus. My ITB’s have been pretty sore for a few months and I’m a little concerned that if I don’t treat them right, I’ll have to lay off for rehab.
Hit my rep goal on squats and looking forward to a PR next week. My squats are finally moving past my Bench. Won’t be a BOF (Bench only Fag) much longer.
Thanks dude. I have to give the credit to the pint of mint chocolate chip ice cream the night before.
I’m gunna die young because of that…according to some…the same folks that tell me lack of cardio is also going to put me to an early grave. But I’ll be sure and send flowers to theirs.
My conscious is clear, the ice cream is organic. Now where are those stink’in oreos! I got some Mili’s in the morn.
Standing Military Press

Shoulders have been neglected lately and it showed. Disappointed with the money set but we’ll get it next time.
If anyone is interested, I’ve posted a request on the Tech Support Forum for the powers that be to consider creating a new forum for folks looking for HRT help. I figure over time as HRT for men becomes more mainstream, the over 35 lifter forum will become the landing page for everyone doing google searches and getting pointed here. I have nothing against HRT or those who need it, I just feel they would be better served with a more focused area on the forum. I’ve always considered this a training forum for older lifters, but I could be wrong. If you support this viewpoint or have other opinions, please let the mods know by responding in the tech support forum. Forums - T Nation - The World's Trusted Community for Elite Fitness
