Morbid Eating Disorder, Massive Health Issues, Need Help Regarding Fat Intake

my name is Helmut, I´m 29 years old and I come from Germany. Since 2012 I have several health issues through a burden of toxic metals like mercury and nickel (from my teeths) and my girlfriend and I lived in a moldy apartment for almost 4 years. Now, the dental treatments are finished and we live in another apartment without mold.

From all the health issues I still have massive and horrible digestive issues because the mold and the toxic metals destroyed my gut lining and therefore I got a pretty heavy eating disorder because I always thought I eat wrong! I have zero testosterone levels (tested), I have a thyroid underfunction (tested), lack of omega3 (epa tested) and I feel weak as fuck.

The only foods I can eat is very lean protein like chicken/turkey, small amounts of red meat, white rice. I don´t do well on fats, but I need fats, I crave it and I feel it!

I have a lot of questions regarding fat intake and I hope you guys can help me out:

  1. Regarding hormonal balance and my situation or for people who dont do well on fats and respond better to carbohydrates, what is the minimum amount of fat (grams per pound or grams total) you guys would recommend? Do you think that 50g of fats per day is too little for optimal hormonal balance? When is it dangerous? (Im 6.2 with 156 pounds and very lean)

  2. Right now I have to deal with my situation how it is, therefore I can´t eat fatty fish like salmon, I can´t eat fatty meat (beef or bison), I can´t eat eggs and I can´t eat dairy (except ghee or butter). So what kind of fats would you guys recommend for athletes and people who can´t eat nuts, avocado and seeds, fatty fish, fatty meat, eggs and dairy (except butter or ghee).

  3. Is it common or normal to add olive oil, coconut oil or butter to my meals after cooking? Right now I add 15g of „extra virgin coconut oil“ to every of my three meals after cooking, I stir the coconut oil into my rice. Would you guys recommend this, do you think around 40-50g of coconut oil is too much or have you ever do this to add fats like olive oil etc. after cooking to your meals (over the veggies or mix in rice)?

  4. I know that coconut oil is not a superfood but it is the only fat I eat right now because its easy to digest. Is it overall and besides health and gut issues a good idea, healthy or good for performance to get ALL my daily fats from easy digestable saturated fats like coconut oil or, butter or ghee?

  5. I also have a massive deficiency in epa and omega-3. How would you guys solve that problem if you are in my situation when you can´t eat fatty fish. Are there lean fish sources out there with a higher dose in omega-3 who you recommend?

  6. What type of fats would you recommend, if someone like me, can´t eat fatty red meat, milk, eggs, salmon, nuts etc.? And how would you inccoporate this fats in a daily diet? I need a healthy fat source or sources, what would you recommend?

  7. What are your thoughts on „extra virgin olive oil“ as a main fat source in a diet? And how much would you recommend per meal, if I add it after cooking?

  8. What are your thoughts on „extra virgin coconut oil“ as a main fat source in a diet? And how much would you recommend per meal, if I add it after cooking?

  9. What are your thoughts on „butter“ as a main fat source in a diet? How much „organic grass fed butter“ would you recommend per meal and how much butter would you recommend daily. How much is too much?

  10. What would you use as your main fat source in your daily diet if you are in a situation like me when you can´t eat fatty meat, fatty fish, nuts, most diary, eggs? And how would you incooporate those fats on your daily diet?

Thats it! Like I said, I implore you guys from the bottom of my heart to help me out and please answer my questions from your standpoint, not from a medicine or doctor standpoint, from your healthy, performance and athletic standpoint.

I can´t thank you guys enough and I want to say thank you very much in advance if someone can answer my questions! I also want to say thank you very much for your effort, your time and everything! I appreciate that so much and you can´t believe how much you help me out if you answer my questions
PLEASE HELP ME GUYS; PLEASE!
Helmut

Wow that soubds terrible and i wish you all the best.
Eat all three of the fat sources you stated (butter, coconut oil and olive oil.
The meats that you can eat, cover them in butter when cooking.
Can you eat peanut butter? If you cant eet salmon or sardines maybe get a fish oil supplement (wouldnt usually take but you case you should.
You are extemely skinny what 70kg at 188cm, dont even measure grams or anything just eat.
Can you eat fruit? Banana and papaya really good for your gut health.
Meat and rice is the classic strength diet (“vertical diet”) just add some fruits for mocronutrients.

I want you all the best my friend, just I think that you really need a good doctor and/or nutrition expert. They can also see your body type and your lab results, not to mention medical history - and advice you according to it.

Everyone on this forum will help as much as they can, but I would still advice consulting a professional if you aren’t already doing so.

Also, taking some probiotics might be a good idea since they can help you restore your gut flora.

There is a good documentary on this subject on Netflix called the Magic Pill all about fats and processed food, try to watch it :+1:
