Hey Tony, you’re going to be lifting in SPF right?[/quote]
Man I ought to. I could lift a hanky and set a new master’s record, since none have been posted.

You could break a lot of the posted ones, so get to it.
If the back is willing I’m going to lift in one in Feb. for experience. SPF is just close by for me, so I’ll use it as training wheels.

Cool!
just know once you go SPF, you won’t go back. it’s like selling your soul to the devil.

I was really happy with the lift because each rep was dead-stopped on the shoulders.
Deloads don’t count, cuz we’re allowed to deload any damn way we want.
So I deloaded by thinking about it.

This made me laugh out loud.
well, at least you got the deload in 8*)

Arm stuph & scap crap
The important thing about today’s bench press is not the number of reps, but, instead, the fact that I was able to keep my right shoulder in proper placement for each of those reps. The shoulder is getting better.
I spectated the Cal Open meet.
Jon North is built like a freakin’ Tank. It was awesome watching him snatch 160 kg (only 5 less than the American record I think they said) Weird thing was he missed twice at 180 kg in the CJ (he made 175 kg), yet I’ve seen a video of him CJ 185 kg at the '10 Arnold. (Possibly it was because he had to do 3 CJs in a row because no one else was at his level.) Ian Wilson, who I think won the PanAm games Youth division was there as well.
There were not that many adult male competitors. A wide spectrum of ages and levels of ability though.
In my opinon a fine deload can be just eatting extra ice cream.

Lots of it. Gelato-style.
