Squat 325x1
Squat - 355x1 , not below parallel if it was even parallel.
Yeah, it was parallel, all right, but I’m surprised discs didn’t come blowing out of your back!!!
Crazy, man!
I see a haircut! Lookin good T. ![]()
a
Beastly pulling and nice squats.
whats going on with the food situation-
I can only hold weight past 185 if I am stuffing food 24/7
Great work Tony. That snatch was pretty sweet along with the really big overhand deadlift. You continue to excel.
On that last squat, you have a very strong lower back sir, great work.
Good videos. You lift with alot of intensity.
worked the snatch positions last night, per some online Glenn Pendlay videos on how to snatch. Coach wants me to do halting snatch grip deadlifts next session to learn to keep form at heavier weights.
95lbs can get you puffing pretty hard. Do these and you don’t need any kettlebells, in my opinion.

My wife and son won’t come in the garage anymore when I’m lifting. I have a tendency to be very curt or bark at them. Sometimes I don’t notice them when they speak to me if I’m setting up.

Like a frog, I pretty much eat what comes to me. I rarely notice if I’m hungry until it’s gone on a while.
I’m not fighting the weight thing anymore. I weigh what I weigh. If that limits my lifts, so be it. If I gain weight, great - if not, who really gives a shit anyway? I’m done whining about it and wasting other people’s time.

Clean and jerks
up to 185 1x5
Front squat
up to 260 1x2
push press
175 3x3
feh.
Damn, those snatch drills are looking good!
yeah, nice drill. i want to try that, now… your back is much stronger than mine for being able to cope with your lowering the weights like that…

yeah - looks good at 95lbs, anything over 125 looks like a train wreck so far.
I’m taking the plunge and focusing only on oly lifting. Got a coach and I expect to
- improve rapidly
- improve more slowly than I think I ought to.
Troy Paradiso over at the Strength Guild forum. Good group over there.
Maybe so, but that’s one step in the right direction. Can’t expect to do them well at heavier weights if you can’t do them at lighter weights.

Reasonable people just make me crazier…
Holy cow! I still have the APA California State record for squat in the 181 45-49 class. Man - I shoulda finished that meet - I coulda taken deadlift too. I bombed on bench and didn’t know you could continue lifting after bombing one lift.
