It’s wild-hair eve. Can’t train tomorrow and wanted some volume anyway, so today I did a singles circuit for an hour:
Clean Grip Deadlift 365
Overhead press 145
DB Curl 55’s
1x25 sets
A little slow, but my conditioning isn’t so good. None of the lifts were hard, but the fatigue starts eating into your resolve.

But you lifted!
I’m tanless as well, so I support this thread ![]()
Merry Christmas.
The 192.5 C&J looked good. Elbows were perfect on the pull and pretty good timing and position getting under. Jerk went well back. Lots of improvement. Have a merry happy.
Good video. Tans are highly overrated.
I hope you are enjoying yourself some fine Christmas Day!
Thanks El
Good to know. Thank you. Now if I can get my front squat up and split deeper I might be able to do some real weight… ![]()
Glad you like them.
We are learning how to cooperate while using our new XBox. Some fun 2-player Kinetic )motion-sensing) games. I almost peeled off all the ornaments on the east side of the tree…
Felis Santa Day, y’all

I’m still shitting the bed on the heavy cleans. I’m starting the second pull too early and too low so the bar comes straight up rather than up and back a bit.
Someone said it already a few pages back but I’ll say it again. Your strength-to-weight ratio is crazy. You truly are one of the strongest guys on here. Keep it up.

Aw, I’ll bet you say that to all the albinos on your block.

I’d disagree with you on that, but we’ve been over all that before.
I’m liking the high-bar squats. I can get my hands closer and elbows forward, which really stiffens my back and keeps me more upright. The high bar forces me to use more glute and leg rather than depending on my back to lift the weight.
I’ve been reading this log as “spasms of the tanless” rather than “spams . . .” Really a different meaning!

ya - me too - did the albino one just change it?
Yeah - I changed it a day or so ago. I post a lot, so it seemed appropriate.

Snap is right. Just means you need to gain weight.

Well that makes me feel better. Since I used to be an editor, I thought I was really slipping.

Haha!
So I was watching this
And I wanted to go and do some snatches just like that.
I couldn’t. Oh sure, 95 lbs, but anything above 125 is a clusterf%$k. My thighs and backs of my shoulder get too tired after about 5 snatches and the rest I start swinging the weight up and catching high.
I’m so frustrated that I want to quit, so I know I must be getting close to doing it right.
…right?
right!

Heavy-ish circuit
15 Rounds of
Front Squat@235x1
Push Press@185x1
DB Row@125x2
The hardest part of this circuit was(were?) the rows. This isn’t a conditioning circuit so I take 1-2 minutes rest between rounds. I should have done doubles on the front squats. Keeping the upper back more upright on the front squats which puts the stress where it belongs: in the ass and thighs.
