Bad attire is any piece of clothing that allows the lifter to either cheat or makes it so the judge can’t determine what’s going on. I’ve judged a couple of these meets and if someone’s shorts are too baggy or completely black, you can’t always tell if they made depth.

The rules also state what clothing is allowed/permissable. Some folks don’t read the rules, apparently.

As to why I got a ā€˜bad attire failure’, I think someone was mucking around there. I so clearly failed the lift they probably just clicked a fault at random. Bad attire usually goes across all the lifts and lifters have bombed out purely on that.

Not bad. Snatch is being caught lower each session, but I’m still not there. Taped my thumbs for SGRDLs and blew a bunch of blood vessels on the back of the first knuckles. Looks pretty cool. Strength lifts are holding steady, haven’t lost much, if anything, on them even with the oly lifting.

I had to fight it - I was terrified it was going to LAND on me.

It’s wild-hair eve. Can’t train tomorrow and wanted some volume anyway, so today I did a singles circuit for an hour:

Clean Grip Deadlift 365
Overhead press 145
DB Curl 55’s

1x25 sets

A little slow, but my conditioning isn’t so good. None of the lifts were hard, but the fatigue starts eating into your resolve.

I think so and especially for your weight. Those damn front squats aren’t easy. It’s a bit more than your bodyweight, so pretty strong!
