Momentum and Inertia

I was outraged that they took it off the air. It was the most original science fiction show I’d ever seen - and it was GOOD.

Yep, and instead we have endless hours of utter dumbasses on endless reality shows.

I’m still pissed about this, so is Joss Whedon from what I understand. He had like a solid 5 year story arc that he had to compress into one movie after they killed it off. Firefly and BSG are the two best sci-fi series to come along in a long time.

I meant to do some clean and jerks today, but I’m so unused to working now that I have no mental energy left for it. Tomorrow, I guess…

You guys obviously all have excellent taste.

The Firefly episode with Christina Hendricks in it (the first one) was one of the best episodes of TV ever. At the time I watched it (didn’t know about Firefly the TV series until Firefly the movie), I remembered thinking to myself: “How is it possible that this lady is not some kind of star?”…

I am positively biased towards any show/movie that has Firefly alumni in it.

I have to admit this is the first I’ve heard of Firefly. And I used to be a sci-fi nerd of sorts. Once the kids came along, if it happened on TV in the last 10 years I probably haven’t seen it.
I’ll be checking this out.

the way in which our stupid jobs interfere with the glory of lifting is a drain on psyche as well.

That’s cuz I made up the name. I think they are cheated front lever pullups. I felt like a gibbon doing them and that name is shorter, so there ya go. I’m just glad I’ve not succumbed to attempting to name an exercise after myself…

Y’know, like, the Albino drop-a-plate-on-your-foot-and-hop-around conditioning plan.

love the one judge’s reason for failing a missed lift “bad_attire”

Congrats DCA. Not bad for a relative newbie to OL.

…you’re lucky being “Albino” is not considered “bad_attire”…
