I googled it but I’m not going to answer because I don’t know this book. anyone else?
This type of challenge should be right up my alley given my course of college study lo those many years ago and general life inclination.
However, sadly, while I am familiar with the book, I did not come up with the right answer.
DCA,
Always thought it was “Stranger in a Strange Land” by Heinlein, but I think I may be wrong. I read a bunch of his stuff when I was younger, and that stands out for some reason.

Do you not ever drop under the bar into a squat on your C&J?

Still learning how. So far, under pressure, I don’t.
I really want to drop my barbell like that. was scared for a minute in the last vid. Unless I’m mistaken you’ve only been doing Oly regularly for a few weeks right? Your bound to have a few failures before you become rockstar. it’s how it goes. ![]()
Great work! Weightlifting looks like alot of fun.
I like the bumper plates.
I like the snazzy shoes.
I like how you are never satisfied and always push for more.

It is. I’m really enjoying the challenge of getting the lifts right.

We have SO much in common, then. I believe you are much the same way, no?

Cycle 4 Week 1 Day 2 - DL, 5’s
Snatches
w/u (OHS, light power snatches, etc)
75xsome
95x2
115 2x10 sets
DL (All sets DOH, no hook)
296x5
341x5 (chalk)
387x5 (chalk)
DL - Mixed grip
340x8
That’s all I needed. Practiced taking the snatches all the way to the bottom, even when I caught them high. Posterior was/is pretty tired even though I took the poundage down quite a bit.

DOH deads to help train the O-lifts? and where exactly do you use the hook grip? on all the O-lifts?

I’m just doing DOH to make my grip stronger. It might help with the o-lifts, but my weights are so low that I don’t think it makes a difference for me.
Hook grip is traditionally used in the o-lifts, but some powerlifters use it for deadlifting too. The overhand grip makes it less likely that you’ll use and therefore possibly rupture a biceps and the hook lets you hold on better that way.

Yes. Except I have neither snazzy shoes nor bumper plates.
And, darn it all but I spent my birthday money on girlie stuff without thinking about these lacks.

Your claim is that you don’t have any snazzy shoes? I call bullshit.

Alright, Jack. You win this round. But I can’t snatch in 'em.
