On Wikipedia under Derek Poundstone it says something about the contest happening may 17, but there’s nothing on the Mohegan Sun web page. I even called the casino and they knew nothing about it. Does anyone have any info about it? Thanks.

For fringe stuff like this, it’s more accurate than any other encyclopedia.
As far as Poundstone knows, it’s May 17. It would not be the first time however, that plans for a major contest were left NOT set in stone right up until the last minute. My guess is that plans are in the works but nothing’s settled.
I love the sport of strongman, but what really chaps my ass is how the major contests- like Met RX- don’t announce the date of the event until a few weeks out, it’s insane. I have a job, family, etc, so I need to make plans to be off. If they want the sport to grow then this needs to change. It’s a shame.
